i do support capital punishment and i prob bally would not want to be put to death but i also would not want to go to prison whether i committed the crime or not. No one, well sane people anyway, don't want to face consequences for their actions. Look at it this way i support people getting tickets for speeding, accidents, etc. i just had to go to court for a speeding ticket i was guilty as sin but i still said not guilty.

I support capital punishment and a speedy trial and punshment. No sitting in prison for years and receiving a college degree and then being pardoned. Just execute them within the week! Empty the prisons.

Then, we can put more time, effort and money into collecting evidence to prove whether someone actually did it or not. If things ran this way to the tee, I would not be up for capital punishment because the only way I would kill someone is in self defense or to protect my children, which the law should consider to be self denfense. Other than that, it is not our place to decide who lives or dies. That decison is reserved for God alone.

If, however I went against my own values, which sounds absurd by the way, I would definitely be deserving of being put to death. An eye for an eye so the bible says.

I don't support capital punishment now, so I definitely wouldn't support it were I condemned to die. Of course, I'd never do anything to merit capital punishment, so there would also be the whole issue of it being a false conviction. And is the US even allowed to execute foreign citizens?

I don't support it, but I know people who do support it who admit that innocent people might be convicted and murdered by the state. They say it is still worth it. But they are at a loss of words when asked what they would think if a family member was wrongly sentenced to death.

Yes. Either I commited the crime and deserved the punishment or I didn't commit the crime and it is the legal process that is at fault. Not the system of punishment.

If I did something that would warrant the death penalty, then I would defiantly deserve it!
Punishment is Punishment.

Well no, that's different then. Same as that i don't mind us having a police state as long as I'm one of the police.

I don't think it would change my mind. I would just hope I committed the crime in California and not Texas. They kill you real quick in Texas.

Depends on what I had done to warrant the death penalty.

If the punishment fits the crime - so be it.
