I believe people tend to believe what they want to usually, and so they interperet the bible in their own way. It's like the passage about not being a drunkard, some people decide that means not to ever drink, some see it as don't get drunk and some see it as don't become an alcoholic. As well some just take everything way too literal, the bible was not ment to be literal, it was written in a different time, with different consiquences. Yes I personally believe that women should have a choice to abort, but I don't believe in late abortions, where they're practically pulling out a baby and crushing the head with tongs (saw an abortion video.) As for people saying jesus doesn't exist, that's kind of useless, because that wasn't the question, I don't believe in him, I believe there's a possiblity of him, and I can still comment about it.

Of course Jesus will forgive anyone who asks sincerely, even if they have had an abortion. The people who say those types of things (you're going to hell no matter what if....) usually aren't scripturally based. Abortion causes a LOT of emotional problems, so I don't suggest an abortion to ANYONE. Just because Jesus forgives doesn't mean you should have the abortion and then ask for forgiveness. You can always try raising the child or giving him to a loving family.

Ok, I'm not a religious person but I would never talk down about someone who is or talk down about their religion. As for "going straight to hell" here's my problem with this : Jesus is allways said to be a loving, forgiving one, giving his own life for our sins, so how can ANYTHING, including not being sure about which religion (if any...) is the right one to follow, or having an abortion. I don't personally believe that an abortion should be taken lightly, since there are other options including adoption( I am an adoption success story...) but I also don't believe that it could be a one-way, guaranteed ticket to fire & brimstone.

I've always found it appalling when people attempt to force their beliefs on others and use scare-tactics to convert. The Catholic Church has been using scare-tactics for generations, (I'm not saying its the only one, but it is the only church I've had experience with and studied.) I recently read that there are higher-ups within the Catholic Church who are discussing excommunicating people who are doing stem-cell research. I don't see where they have gotten the right to say who is and who isn't going to heaven based on what they have done on earth. God is the only being that can decide who is going to heaven. For all we humans know, we may be doing everything wrong. So, how dare any religion say it is better than, truer than, or more correct than any other religion. It amazes me how many people will put so much faith in religion and their priests. I put my faith in God and question any and everything other humans tell me to be true about him/her or the holy books. (I've found that reading all holy books gives you a better idea about what God truly is, rather than what one group says is true.)
Abortion, its sad, but happens. We have no right to judge those who choose to have an abortion. But, I can't help it. Anyone who gets a partial-birth abortion, is a murder in my book, but are they going to hell for it? I don't know, and neither does anyone else on Earth. I just think they should get in trouble with the law (i.e.police or government)

There is only one sin that can not be forgiven. Abortion is murder to some people, and to others it is a way of continuing to live. My God is a Just God and he is always forgiving me for my sins. So those who speak bad about any decision that is made are just hypocrites casting the first stone. I must forgive them also. Or at least try.

I agree with you 200% and above. It's not right to call us stupid for believing in The Lord Jesus Chriest. And God forgives anyone. No matter what they did. As long they are truly sorry about what they did and believe in him.

'Well I don't believe in abortion as your ticket to hell BUT....I don't think its ok to go and do so either,, unless there is a VERY good reason such as something terrible wrong with the baby and it will suffer threw life or even Rape and other things .....I don't believe in just getting pregnant and saying oh I don't want this baby...there are too many people in this world that would take and love that child as there own....all in all if you don't want a child keep the legs crossed or be responsible enough not to get pregnant.....

i dont think u can go straight to hell for having an abortion because God will forgive u but for me...I would never get an abortion cuz i couldn't have a baby live inside of me...me feel it....and then let sumthin come suck it out of me...i just dont think my heart could be that wicked to do that...now if u think otherwise that's u but prefrably i just dont prefer that as an option...i rather give my child up for adoption if that was the choice than to kill it.

We don't decide who goes to hell but we can say who commits a sin. With all the contraception available there should be no need for abortion.

You can stop worrying. There is no hell, there is no heaven. These concepts came into being when the church could no longer afford to support the families of priests. So, in order to save money, the church decided to go into the soul saving business. They had to save the soul from something, otherwise the people would have no reason to be church members(customers) and the upper echelon of the church would have to perform productive labor.
