I'd be a God warrior, I'd be a servant to God, if only one of the believers would just show me some proof.

How selfish these believers, that they horde the proof of God.

Obviously, they aren't stupid enough to believe something without any proof.

Selfish people.

Facts and Proof don`t matter to people. They live in their own perfect little world and believe whatever they want to believe.
People don`t wanna listen. Hey, there is proof that Bigfoot exists, only nobody will listen to that...either!!!

There are many books written about the evidence of the existence of God, one of which is called "God: The Evidence." That would be an obvious starting point.

As for why the average person can't prove it to you, it is largely due to the fact that the average person doesn't have the philosophical background to go into the proofs of God's existence, and still many others do not have the philosophical background to understand such a lesson. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, perhaps you're just not asking the right people.

In regards to us "selfish people," is it not enough proof for you that we are living out our convictions in a profound way? Are our examples and witness not enough? Many have revealed their personal experiences with God, only to have been called liars or fools. Does it not cross your mind that these experiences may be too personal to share on an internet message board, or with someone who might be feared as being too critical? You have to realize the depth which you are asking these people to reveal to you.

Perhaps you need physical proof. There are many miracles awaiting your discovery around the world. Our Lady of Guadalupe is one which has left proof which science cannot explain. The Eucharistic Miracles are another. The incorruptible bodies (which have been tested and to not have any preservatives to keep the body looking fresh) of saints is another. Statues shed tears, people experience the wounds Christ suffered during His crucifixion, the very fact that we exist and that there is order in the universe... Us "selfish people" put all of this on display as proof that God exists. Are you waiting for God to slap you and say, "here I am!" Would you know what it felt like if it already happened? Probably not, because I bet it already did happen, and I offer all of the above as proof.

You really can't say that lack of proof is your justification for not believing in God... The proof is all around you.

My experience is that most atheists who come to YA to ask for "proof" really aren't looking for a profound discussion about cosmology, the anthropic principles, the proofs of Thomas Aquinas, or the teleological argument for God (based on the extreme unlikelihood that anything other than a few black holes filled with hydrogen should be existing.)

No, most are just coming - unfortunately - and looking for someone to argue with.

As a fairly-informed believer - one from an agnostic background and with a good knowledge of the sciences and philosophy - I don't really have a lot of interest in that. I don't need to waste what little time I have in this world arguing when so much fruitful dialogue is out there to be had. Some of that dialogue is even with those atheists not out trolling the Internet.

So I take Jesus' advice on the matter to not throw the proverbial pearls before swine (so to speak, that is.) Sorry.

I'd suggest instead you examine the state of your own soul. What is the anger within that makes you want to lash out at religious belief? What motivates this part of you? Perhaps germinating in this place are the seeds of your own spirituality, whatever that might become. You might consider watering it without seeking to control what it becomes. It is a scary thing to do, I know. I was there. I always wanted to be in control. "Captain of my soul," like that old poem Invictus.

But letting go and letting it lead wherever it leads has been a wonderful journey for me. Who can know what it might mean for you?

We have so many different types of electrical appliances, running on electricity, but can you see electricity?

Same with God.

If you touch a live wire without knowing, because you can not see electricity, you will get a shock as a proof.

The problem in having a steadfast faith is that in spite of believing, and trying to be good person, you still may experience problems in life - not of your own making - and your belief will be under strain. Every religion has a explanation for that.

Civilized Human existence is possible only when " you do onto others as you want done to you." Because most people follow that, the human race is still survivng.

Some people don't want to believe. The fact the you live and breath, the sky is blue and the rains come is proof that God exists. Read Genesis chapter one, then the book of John, what more proof do you require?

Here is proof O non-believer, and even seeing this in person may not grant you the gift of faith.

Take a trip (if you will) to Jerusalem on the Saturday before Orthodox Christian Pascha (Easter) and go to the Holy Sepulcher, there you will witness what is called The Holy Fire. A fire which burns but does not (for a moments time) consume.

It comes down as a witness to the resurrection of Christ, whereby all those who believe may faithfully cry out, "Christ is Risen, Truly He is Risen!"

I am willing to prove it to you. What proof do you need? Everything around you proves there is a God and if you are wanting proof, why not ask God himself? He will give you the proof that you are seeking better than anyone can. You just need to be sincere about what you are asking believe that He will answer you and then be still and let Him prove to you that He is real.

My friend, if you don't believe the Bible, God's Holy Word, I can't convince you. But God can. God exists even if you don't believe He does, that will not change the fact He is very real. The proof is in the puddin'. Look around you. The order of nature screams the truth of the existance of God Almighty, the Creator of mankind. The Bible states that the fool hath said in his heart there is no God.

It is because any proof we have tried to give to those who refuse to believe on here gets shunned. I know I have tried to show some people some proof but it was always ridiculed and I was called some pretty nasty things so I have stopped trying to prove anything to anyone who is not willing to listen. I have had to go as far as changing my screen name because of being harassed by some non believers.

Like a powerful fighter that doesn't need to "prove it" to some wannabe.......Like a fast runner who doesn't look for a foot race with a local...God IS God.
Those that TRULY know Him also adopt His ways, He is noble and sublime. He doesn't have the identity problems of us humans. His Son, Jesus walked in grace and humility. He did not have petty arguments with the quarrel prone scoffers.
God can only be found by the honest skeptic and the sincere seeker. He rests in His authority and power.
