because these morons dont control their animals they control them. any idiot can buy a pet, it takes a genius to raise one. if they are your friends, be honest and tell them. they are obnixious, and their pets too. education is good, bad owners make bad pets.

Obviously you are rude about it and anal, you dont see a dog complaining about people shedding thier skin cells all over the place do you?? I personally wouldnt get upset if you didnt come over to my house since I hate when whiny people complain and act like you should get rid of your pets for thier benefit... The pets live there not you and they have a right to shed on any guest they want!! you should stop being a whiner and accept a little bit of hair from the loving caress of a devoted animal. Also stop making you friends feel like crap by complaining about thier furry family members. Either that or dont be friends with pet owners.

People can be selfish and stupid, assuming that what they like has a universal, almost holy, appeal.
I had occasion to routinely go to dinner at a couple's house and their one dog did nothing but sit at the table and drool. Until I touched the dog and pushed it to the floor, they did nothing about it but laugh.
People are stupid. Cats are hard to train. But dogs, they should stay on the floor as basic discipline.

Some people love animals, some don't. Some love their own, yet aren't so crazy about other people's, which is understandable. Have you tried explaining why it is that it bothers you? I don't like other people's animals all over me, either, lol. I guess it hurts their feelings in a way. They apparently don't have that understanding that everyone doesn't love their animals like they do. I'd talk to them & try to smooth it out. My friend started putting her car in the bedroom, when I come over, so it doesn't scratch me to pieces every time.

Not as much as the owner that is irresponsible and lets their pet run loose only to be hit by a car. Can't blame the animal for that.

My sister expects all of us to ADORE her yippy little schnauzer and yet she puts me down because of my cats. Calls the newborn kittens "shish-kabobs".
Now she's married and they have added two HUGE dogs to their menagerie!! At least my cats have the good sense to leave visitors the hell alone. What more can you ask of a pet????

OK I completely feel you but this is worse...I live in a home where we have no pets. My mom is one of those people who goes nowhere without her dog. So when I invite her over she brings her stupid dog and brings him in without even asking if it's OK!

If they are mature, and you tell them that you'd love to visit them but are bothered by their animals, then they should understand. Two things can happen: 1. They invite you and keep their animals elsewhere. 2. They never invite you over again.
