I often hear people say they have long hair, and then you see them and to me it just ain't long.
I would say halfway down the back at least.

Mid way down the back. Medium length is to the shoulders and short hair is above the shoulders touching the neck

In styling books and at the salon long is referred to as shoulder length, but I prefer to consider that medium length. I think long is below your shoulder blades. I have long hair!

I think long hair ranges from about two inches below your shoulders to about your butt. Anything longer would be extremely long!!

long hair is when it goes past a girls shoulder blades or around there and on a guy long hair is when it goes to their shoulders.
