Do you excercise? I've heard that alot of people have that problem if they arent that physically active. Other then that you may just need more things in your life to keep you busy so you dont have time to think :o)

You can try Meditation and it will help you to slow down. Also, when I have a hard time falling asleep - I use a noise machine which plays different sounds of the ocean or rain or birds, etc....it's very relaxing and puts me to sleep. As for being awake and constantly thinking....it does sound like stress and I would recommend exercise. You could start walking and use a headset listening to music or rent out a exercise video tape that you think you would like and try that. You can usually take them out for free out your local library.

If none of these suggestions help you, than I would try seeking a doctor and maybe they can give you medication. But I would first try the above.

Good Luck!

It sounds like you could have an anxiety disorder which is treated much the same way depression is. Go to your primary care physician and see if he will refer you to a psychiatrist to be diagosed. Its ok to have anxiety. With levels of stress in today's times its hard for our body;s to deal all the time. If it interferes with normal daily activity you need to see someone.

Sounds like you need some therapy sessions.......you seem to have something emotionally going on that you are unable to deal with. Therapists have the expertise to bring these things to the surface and help you deal with life events.
