I never cared. I was never too worried that anyone thought I had a secret uterus anywhere. But I AM reminded of the first time I was sent solo to the store for a box of tampons many years ago.
So you go to buy something engineered to absorb things, right? So if this product says "absorbent," but that one over there says "SUPER absorbent," the super one MUST be better. Right? Mind you, I was about twenty at the time and hadn't put much thought into the whole process. I think I brought home something that could have also been sold to HAZMAT teams to soak up oil spills.
Kind and encouraging as she was, my wife said nothing but "thank you," and went about her business.
It turns out that she could barely swallow or blink while using the damn things. For future trips I was given more specific guidelines.

Frankly I'm more embarrassed to buy the extra large condoms.
And they always keep them behind the counter so you have to ask for them and then they get on the loudspeaker to get the manager to come up with the keys to the cabinet.
And of course by then every lady in the place is giving me this weird look, all googly eyed and breathless looking like I'm just a piece of meat.

I've actually have never been asked to do that...yet. But, I don't think I'd care. After all, the "crimson tide" is a nature part of life, woman need those things, and if someone is going to judge me because I'm helping out my woman, then f*ck them!

Not a guy, but I've had my dad not only by me pads, he also gave me the I'm all grown up speech too. That was something special. I totally hear you as well, Dad, about the condoms, I still get embarrassed about those, myself.
