I also have very frizzy, thick, curly hair. What works for me is the Matrix Sleek Look Smoothing System. I think it smells good. It's about $6-9 a bottle, but it's worth it if it works. You can't stop at shampoo and conditioner though. I use frizz-ease extra strength hair serum, blow dry, straighten with a chi then finish it off with Bio silk for some shine

Aussie. Any kind of Aussie shampoo should do the job. Make sure you are using a moisturizing shampoo as well as a deep conditioner. Aussie has a 3 minute deep conditioner that is amazing. Use it several times a week.

Also, check out any hair products for after washing. Frizz-ezz works wonders. And try a straightening balm, heat protectant, and then straighten your hair with a straightener that has copper plates (the copper helps reduce frizz).

Spandex by Sebastian
Frizz control by Pantene
Anti-frizz by Revlon
And if your hair is tending to curly you can use the special one for curly hair of pantene or if the tendence is staight then go for the straightning line of pantene. One way or another use a leave-on cream after everything so you can comb as you wish and it will stay control without making it look hard

I love Neutrogena - Shampoo and conditioner and they make a great boby lotion. So, it may be more expensive than some. But I do believe you would like it. Give it a try . They also have a product that helps with the frizzies, I have a friend that uses it for the fly away hair. Good Luck and God Bless.

This weekend because I had no other choice and used Head n' shoulders (soft and silky i think). I loved it. I didn't even use a separate conditioner. It worked great. Then again i dont know about the type of hair u are working with. Have you read Oprah's hairdresser's book, sorry his name is Andrae something. it's a good book at he talks about all hair types and How to Help.
when i find the name ill post it.
Good Luck

Try a sleeking shampoo - and conditioner too. If you need something cheap try garnier fructis - it works great for me.

If that doesn't work, you may need something stronger - like Matrix Sleek Look. It's pretty expensive, but it works wonders. Make sure you only use a little each time you shampoo and condition so you don't have to buy it as often!

try Halo shampoo and conditioners they smell really good and also for any hair type. With the frizzy and puffiness try using a blow dyer with a comb on the end and with each section of hair comb though it.

DeFrizz by Marc Antony Haircare Products is probably the best.
It doesn't really have a smell, good or bad. It's like neutral.
It defrizzes hair, making combing hair a snap.
Plus it protects color treated hair.

Try Olive Oil Creamy Aloe Shampoo and Olive or Carrot Oil Moisturizer Cream by "Organic Root Stimulator" . Their products are good for 'virgin' hair and chemically treated hair. And they smell good...not too strong but if someone gets close to you they won't smell 'chemicals'
Good Luck

Matrix Sleek Look or ANY LANZA products...

The Lanza Hair repair products are miracle workers...

they [Lanza] used to make a shamp & Cond and some styling products called "be Long" which worked great for my then almost waist length natuarally curly hair...

& you do also have to use some good styling products... Sabino makes a good product... their moisture block...(which they've renamed Moisture manager) http://www.sabinohair.com/
