It COULD be a condition called "Dissociation" (I'm pretty sure that I misspelled this - I usually do!) I had this feeling after my 9 yr. old was born. I'm not suggesting that YOU have post - partum depression (obviously!), but I did, and this was the term that my Dr. gave to that feeling. Also, I felt like I was having an out - of - body experience alot. But, I DO remember feeling absolutely VOID of feelings. See a Dr. Meds. helped me alot!!! BUT, you should be diagnosed by a competent physician.

I don't know why, but I am glad you posted your question here. There is a medical term for the way you feel; There can be one or more reasons why you feel the way you do. I seriously doubt though, that you'll find a working diagnosis and treatment plan here on this site.

Please contact your family physician or local mental health center right now! They will help you to find the answer to your question. Talk to them. Talk to someone.

Take care. I wish you the best.

sounds like depression. There must be something going on in your life to have provoked this. You should talk to a health care professional and maybe you can get diagnosed and get treatment. Life is too short to feel empty all the time. Good Luck!

How generous have you been with your life. You can't give yourself self-worth. You can give yourself skills where people may value you, but still they are the ones having to show you the value.

I suggest you make a time investment in someone or something which you can look at and see the finished positive results of/from daily.

Once you get enough value from giving you can being to ignore others with confidence - level 2 in happiness. I think you gotta start by giving first. Others may disagree, but give it a try.

Good luck!

Sounds like depression to me. Call a pshychiatrist (yep, a shrink) and make an appt. Do it NOW because the earliest appt. you can get will probably be 3 months from now. It can probably be remedied w/ meds, but you don't want just any old doctor prescribing psych meds.

hmmmm......don't know what they call it but I know how you feel. Look at it this way, when you feel empty, that's the time to get filled. Remember, everything started from nothing.

Sounds like your depressed.
Depression is a chemical unbalance in the brain, that can be fixed with prescription drugs.

Maybe because you are not doing what you think you should do with your life. Maybe because you are not setting your priorities straight. And maybe you are depressed.
