Prat may refer to:

Prat, a commune in the Côtes-d'Armor département in France
Prath, the Syriac name for the Euphrates river
The buttocks (slang since 1567)
Pratfall, which means 'to fall on one's buttocks'
An *** (slang since 1968), equivalent to arsehole, as in the phrase 'don't be such a prat' [1]
Idiot
A prat may also refer to a pregnant fish.

Prat is another way of calling someone an Idiot.

I'm glad to say that you're NOT a prat.

"prat" means somebody who is behaving stupidly or arrogantly. Originally it meant "Buttocks" but is very rarely used for that meaning in the UK.

Generally something shouted, "YOU PRAT!" etc.

n. English term, primarily used in United Kingdom. The literal meaning is "bottom" or "rump"; aka backside, buttocks, sacrum, tail end. This lends itself to the slang meaning of "***," or "clueless person of arrogant stupidity." It is not always directly translatable to American slang. For example, if you used the term "prat hat" in the U.K., you would likely be laughed out of town by the locals.
