Your first stop should be to the school itself to ask if they offer assistance; many private schools do. If they don't, try this organization, which offers grant aid for secondary education: http://www.scholarshipfund.org/index.asp . You might also want to register with FastWeb (a scholarship search engine) to see if they have any listings for high schoolers: http://www.fastweb.com
Other than those sites, though, there really isn't much grant ("free") aid out there for high school education. However, there are plenty if loans. If you wish to go that route, try the Sallie Mae K-12 Loan: http://www.salliemae.com/get_student_loan/find_student_loan/parent_loans/private_student_loans/k12/

Yes if he is going to private schools they will have some kind of program to help out. Sometimes it a work-study thing, or sometimes they offer payment plans or tution assistance. The best thing to do is call the school you are interested in, and ask about options!

If the public education system is that bad that you need to send him to a private school, look into Charter schools.
