AIDS is spread through the exchange of bodily fluids like blood and ejaculation. It's POSSIBLE to be spread through saliva, although very very rare if neither person has any open sores in their mouth. And it would certainly not be spread through just kissing on the lips, it would need to be open-mouth.

Does she actually have HIV? Or are you just worried? If you're not sure, go to a Planned Parenthood clinic together and both get tested.

AIDS cannot be "caused," just "contracted." Meaning nothing anyone does can give another person AIDS unless that person has it. It is 99% spread through direct contact between the two people's blood or sexual organ fluids (or hospital blood transfers, but that's rare).

I'm glad you're looking out for yourself though. Continue to take care of yourself. You can get tests for AIDS or any other STD whenever you want. But beware because it can take up to 6 months to actually show up on a test, so get tested often if you feel you might have come in contact with it.

Yes, if the person you are kissing has active HIV (the virus that causes AIDS) then their saliva could transfer that virus to you, if you have an open wound. This doesn't only mean your mouth. Any type of bodily fluids on any open wound.

HIV is transmitted by sexual contact. To my knowledge, there has not been a documented case of HIV transmission via saliva or kissing. AIDS is a disease that is caused by the HIV, so you don't "catch AIDS."

Only if you both have chapped and bleeding lips. Saliva alone cannot give you HIV/AIDS unless you consume a large amount of saliva, more than the human body can hold in water.

No. But if you already have AIDS, do not have sex with her or you WILL give it to her. If she has AIDS, do not have sex with her or YOU wil probably get it. Any type of sex.

HIV can be contracted by doing any of the following with an infected person:

sharing needles
sharing/exchanging bodily fluids
blood tranfusion by infected blood
sex with an infected person, man or woman

Oh, and having sex with a virgin does not let a man get rid of AIDS. It just infects another poor soul.

You can't cause Aids by kissing your girlfriend unless eith or you has the virus. You can't contract Aids from saliva either because saliva has a very low amount of viruses in it....

Pay no attention to the uninformed people above who say you can get aids from saliva. Listen to the people who say you can get it from blood or sexual contact.

The only way you could get AIDS by kissing is if one partner has it, and BOTH of you have open sores in your mouths (thus allowing blood transfer).

You cannot get AIDS through kissing except when your lips are lacerated when then can be an exchange of blood between you.

You can't get aids by kissing, you can however give her aid by having sex. But kissing from what I had been taught back in high school cannot transmit aids.

AIDS and HIV can only be transmitted four ways: through blood , through semen, through vaginal fluid, and through breast milk. Casual contact, kissing, and saliva do not transmit AIDS or HIV.
