This especially refers to persons with kids. Why keep a filthy home? There are cheap cleaning implements at your disposal at your local Wally World that can clean gummy, kool-aid stained floors, take handprints off walls that appear so old and crusted they resemble the cave paintings at Lasceaux. Why do you let your kids just run wild like hooligans and not clean up, or better yet MAKE THEM LEARN to clean their own mess? I have a friend like this that I had to kick the F out of my residence yesterday because the animals she calls her children decided to make mudpies out of my houseplant soil and smir it EVERYWHERE while I was grilling and SHE was supposed to be watching her ill behaved progeny. Her excuse was she did not see them do it, but my son told me she sat right there and watched. My boy does not lie, he was (is) actually raised and disciplined (is that a bad word up here, by the way?) So I was furious, and told them to get to stepping. Why? Just why do people keep dirty homes?

I ask because she ALWAYS wants me to come over there, like it's the spot of something. No thanks. I like to keep white pants white.

Joe try harder, ok? it takes more intelligent and meaningful diatribe to "ruffle my feathers". Oh, and weren't you supposed to be down with God's teachings? Tsk, Tsk.

I too have a friend that keeps house (or not) the same way. And also in common her children are aweful. We used to go there but for the sake of my kids health we now play at my house and that's no easy street either. We both have two little boys, but my house is clean all the time and so are my kids (for the most part). And my kids are disciplined. If they make a mess they get to help clean it up and if they can they get to do it on their own. I think those parents need more than just lessons in cleanliness.

I have a 1 year old and a 2 year old. My house is pretty much cleaned most of the time. What does get down is toys and clothes. My 2 year old is going through a dress-up phase so she constantly gets into clothes and drags them out. I'll leave them out while she's playing, but when she's done, she helps me pick them back up. The other bad thing here is that I can NEVER keep my carpet cleaned. I do vacume about 3 times a day, but I have a problem with the shampooing. I do it once a month and I don't know about anyone else, but it seems that as soon as it's shampooed, something gets spilled. Thats when i take the lysol, water and a rag to scrub it. If you can tell me how to get kool-aid stains out of carpet, I'd be glad to know. Most of it is from the kids that were here before we moved in and I've tried everything to get it out but nothing seems to work. I admit that a lot of people are lazy and won't clean up after their kids. That drives me nuts. My place doesn't look the greatest because it is an apartment afterall. The welfare trash that lived here before tore it up and we've done the best we can do about cleaning their things up. I am really picky about my living room, bathroom and kitchen. A friend of mine came over with her 2 year old daughter. I had just given my daughter cherios to snack on so I figured I'd give some to her daughter to. Well, her daughter dumped her bowl out on my carpet and then STOMPED on them. She just sat there and watched. I wasn't just pissed because of that, but it was more the fact that I had just cleaned the place.

My kids arn't old enough to do things like that yet, but I keep a really clean house.

Maybe those parents don't have time to clean up, or maybe they just can't keep up with the mess that their kids create. I know that the minute I pick up all of my daughters toys, I turn around and she's pulling them back out of the box.

first of all i have 3 small children and will be the first to admit that my house is way far away from being spotless, but nastiness is just laziness. you should really talk to you friend, if she is in fact a friend she will understand your concern if she gets offended then she needs you wake up and realize that you are concerned for HER children
