perms nowadays are not like the perms of the 80's. you can get all kinds of waves and what not and not look like you stuck your finger in an electric socket. find some pics of celebs/models with the hair you want and discuss with your stylist.

Be very careful.I went in for a body wave,which was supposed to be large curls.I looked like grandma,so be careful where you go,ask on here for suggestions.

I did that a used tiny curlers and I looked like a poodle so If you do get your hair permad get BIG curlers so that way it looks really good and you won't look like a poodle.

If you want wavy hair make sure you havent colored you hair. And that there is no color in your hair what so ever. And you hair will come out silky an wavy, when you go and perm it.

get your hair braided for about a week and then take it out. It will be slightly wavy and wont frizz up!
