I know and I think it is nuts. With a relatively co-equal economy like Canada it might work. They don't even have universal education in Mexico, though. We would end up with all of their poor people here draining our services. The only difference would be that it would have been legalized.
I've written to Bush about it. I'm certain that will change his mind, of course.

"I'm glad they didn't do it"
huh? Its in the process of being done
I was about to make a post about this but you beat me too it. I think a North american union is inevitable. Europe is uniting, South america is even uniting, and China is growing. We have to compete by merging Canada, United States, and Mexico.
"that only bush crap....canada smarter they never let all mexicans drain their healtcare and stole their welfare"
Can you complete a sentence? Canada lets muslims drain off of their system- what makes you think they wouldn't let mexicans?

Well .. of course .... they COULD build a highway straight from the southern border to Canada ... and not let anyone off until they reach the Canadian border .... might be an idea .... :)
