Some Indian gurus claim that drinking your own urine is good for you. Some years back, an Indian Prime Minister was known to do that. On the other hand, there are places in Africa where the practice is banned because it is said to be bad for you. I think the only reason you would want to is if you are stranded somewhere, and have nothing to drink. They say that it is one of the purest things you can drink, but why would you want to unless you absolutely had to.

I'm not sure but my boyfriend says his mom made him drink his when he was little and really sick and that it helped him out a lot. Don't tell him I told you.

My ex-husband used to swish his urine in his mouth when he had an infection, it seemed to help him.

not sure, but some people do in asia and they credit their longevity to it - it will not help you if you are thirsty though, like shipwrecked as it contains salt and will dehydrate you
