No, Jesus wouldn't want us to do that to anyone. He loves all of us, and as such He would never want to hurt us. Understand, though, sometimes Jesus needs to do certain things to help His children realize that they did something wrong. Just as a good father disciplines his children out of his love and desire for them to grow up doing what is right, so does Jesus discipline His children, for the same reason. So many people think that Jesus was a peaceful, kind, gentle, and tender man. Actually, this is not entirely true. Here are a few words that would better describe His character: loving, yet passive and rebellious. He is loving in that He accepts all that come to Him through grace and mercy. He is passive in that He will stand up for His beliefs, even if that means others become offended as a result. He is not one to cave in to the will of others, He lives by a righteous agenda, and noone can change that! He is rebellious in that He set a new standard for His day, He "rebelled" against the views and ideas of the people in His day. His influence changed the face of humanity to this day! He tossed the temple tables. Many people think it best to overlook this chapter as it opposes their idea of the kind, frail and gentle Jesus. But it is true! In situations such as these, doing what Jesus did is necessary, because it is the only way that the person will realize that what he/she did was wrong. I hope this helps, God bless!

Well, not the gentle "turn the other cheek" Jesus, but the Apocalypse Day of Judgement Jesus will send Exterminator Angels to Mesopotamia to wipe out sinners,(According to the Book of Revelations.) At this point, I think you could thump some L. Ronnites and get away with it. I would wait until then, however.

I seriously doubt it. Jesus was more of a "turn the other cheek" kind of guy. But he did throw a pretty big fit in the temple after the folks had turned it into a marketplace. So...maybe. I doubt he'd advocate any direct physical violence.

No...that would defeat the purpose of his message...i don't know where you got this question - because it doesn't say anywhere in any official writing that we were to teach through violence...
