I have a motor that can generate 500 hp at 6500rpm for 60 seconds and generates 420 ftlbs. also its 96% effiecent.

What is the voltage rating of the motor? If you have that figure, you can take 373000 and divide that by the voltage, then you get the current required. You need enough batteries to generate the voltage, and enough capacity to draw the amperage.

Be very careful if you actually do this type of experiment. It can melt the connections in an instant should anything go wrong and have a molten metal flying everywhere.

Wait a minute... a/c? then you need an inverter large enough for the job. I doubt you can get it small enough or inexpensive enough for casual experimentation.
