Eat little mini meals throughout the day loaded with fresh fruits, veggies, NO colas, sweetened drinks etc. Fruit juices, water, skimmed milk.

The safe way to lose the weight is to eat less than 2000 calories a day. Try not to eat to much grains and breads, cut back on the meat (not fish). You should try to eat some more fruits and veggies. Most important stay away from anything that is deep-fried, and starch foods like potatoes and corn. Also check the food labels if there is any Trans fats stay way, those fats only hurt you and wont leave your body, and no regular pop a diet or two should be OK. Good Luck!

that's not a short time! very doable! drink more water. eat no carbs after 5pm, decrease your caloric intake by 100 calories every 3 weeks, and exercise at least 30 min straight of cardio a day, and then do conditioning, but not a lot of weight lifting, as you don't want to gain weight from mucsle gain, however the more muscle you have the easier your body will use up the calories you do have.

Atkins, definitely. You'll see definite results very fast.
Meat, fish, chicken, cheese & eggs. Water. Nothing else. All protein at first then start to add low amounts of carbs. It works.
