Neither, but if I have to choose, I choose Holyfield. Tyson is a very dirty boxer. His past glory was over a long tome ago.

"Real Deal" is by far a better boxer. Tyson is/ was, a bully/ brawler. He won most of his fights by intimidation. Evander refused to be intimidated by Mike and put hands on him twice. I am an avid boxing fan, who too, was drawn to the freakshow that was Mike Tyson. As Tyson reverted to his thug mentality over the years, I couldn't take watching the guy. If you watch Tyson's earlier fights you will see a somewhat unorthodox off balance puncher. Any fighter, or, trainer will tell you that your balance has to be there when you plant (your feet) and punch. It's very hard to throw combinations and precise punches without blance. Tyson relied far too much on brute force, and, power. He often found himself lunging in at opponents. Holyfield, on the other hand, is a technical fighter. While he does not throw tons of combinations anymore, he did for most of his career, often setting up his shots with the jab. He could crowd a fighter, lure them in, tag them with double uppercuts, and, a right cross causing them to back up. He'd cut off the ring, and, then throw anywhere from 10 to 12 punches or so, and, punish his opponent. His hooks, and, crosses, were a thing of beauty when he was in his prime. Evander wins this one, hands down. I don't know if he'll ever win the belt again, but, I am going to Dallas in August to see his fight.

I'd go with Tyson. Let's face it, despite all the troubles and controversies he got himself into, he was one of the greatest heavyweights the sport of boxing has ever seen. Regardless whether you like him or hate him, you watch him just like Ali. He was also an excellent boxer. During his prime, not only did he have dynamite fists, he also had quick hands and feet as well as a decent defense with his head movement. Holyfield is a fine boxer too and his biggest asset is his big fighting heart, something that Tyson lacks. But he didn't excite fight fans the way Tyson did.

Evander, without question. He is a true gentleman and one of the all-time great heavy weight champions. Mike Tyson is what he has always been, a 12 yr old thug, still mugging little old ladies for their groceries. He could have been the best of the modern era but he blew it. He has crapped on every one who ever tried to help him, from Bill Cayton to Teddy Atlas to his trainer who got him to the championship in the first place. It is true that the loss of Gus was devastating to him, but he cannot blame all his bad behavior and unsportsmanlike conduct on the death of his mentor. He should have received a lifetime ban for biting Holyfields ears. And Evander should have sued him for everything he had or ever will have.

Holyfield has class and Mike is nuts! Besides that, Evander took the big bad bully to school twice!
