XXXXXXXXXXX not necessarily. Sometimes genes from generation back will come into play. You can't definately say you have no blonde genes. As no one can trace every gene pool of there family since the beginning of time. Don't speculate. You may be wrong. Ask your parents. They'll be honest. Good luck hun XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

No. lol I am one of three sisters and one brother. My sisters both are blonde as blonde can be and I have very dark brown hair. There was a story on the discovery channel a while back ( I might not get the story 100% but I remember the just of it.) anyway, it had a community of all dark people. And had been for many years. All of a sudden a blonde baby was born. And she grew to be very tall. After research had been done they found she carried genes from centuries ago. It happens.

The genes for being blonde are recessive, which means they're hidden in both of your parents. If you look at your great-grandparents, you're likely to have a couple of them that are blonde. Then the brunette took over for awhile. If your sister is young, she may be a towhead- blonde as a child but turning brunette as an adult. If she is an adult, she may be a bottle blonde. A whole lot to think about before you decide you're not genetically related.

Its possible, but unless your parents tell her she is its most likely something that has been passed down from one of your parents.
Heres an example for you, My mother is blonde and blue eyed, she has 5 sisters and 1 brother and they all have very dark or black hair. Her mom is 3/4 indian, her dad is too. She use to get teased a lot about this subject, being told she was adopted and stuff. However, her grandmother on her moms side had german in her, and thats where the blonde hair and blue eyes came from.
My mom had 9 of us kids and none of us have blonde hair and blue eyes, however, my uncle(moms brother) married a full blooded indian and has 3 childeren by her, and guess what?
Two of them have black hair, brown eyes and the other blonde hair and blue eyes. Also we compared pictures of his blonde daughter to pictures of my mom when she was young and you cant tell them apart! She looks just like my mom in everyway!!!
Everyone thinks she is her daughter when they see them together! So it just goes to show you how the gene pool works, it sskips some people where you would think it would show up and sshows up where you wouldnt expect it.
So no, you cannot judge who someones parents are by their out-
ward appearences.

I am a blonde, but all my sisters and both of my parents have brown hair. I still look like my dad though. When I looked back through my family tree it turns out my Great Grandfather was blonde with blue eyes like me. I'm pretty sure that if you looked you'd find someone in there the same as her. Not likely that she is adopted, most parents tell their kids that these days.

It may be about that dark hair is dominant in your family tree. But somewhere in the last 4 generations, there was one blonde...and this characteristic only pops up rarely.
Your sister may be the recipient of that recessive gene.
If she has children with a blond, she might have a blond child. If she has children with a dark haired man, then she will likely have NO blond children, but maybe one blond haired grandchild.
I have very light blue eyes that only pops up in evey other generation, and rarely throughout the family. We all have different skin tones, (olive, medium, very fair) quite a mix !!!
Look at your grand parents and their sisters and brothers, or great grandparents and their cousins...there's a blond in the mix somewhere that your sister takes after, and likely has one or more addional traits of that paticular person.
Look up geaneology and breeding.

Your parents could have had blonde recessive genes, and your sister got lucky and they combined to make her blonde. Since blonde hair is recessive (little b) and brown is dominant (big B) then your parents genes probably look like this:
Bb and Bb
you and the others got BB
your sister got bb
that's not very detailed but I hope it helped.

If both sides your natural grandparents are not blonde, then even with recessive genes she could not be blonde. I could be that someone else along the relative stream is adopted, or your mom had an affair and your sister is only your half sister.

no.. there are actually several factors that affect someone's appearance, other than genes.
1. the environment/surrounding
there are cases when a baby is blonde though their parents aren't because the family is staying in a neighbourhood with blondies around.
2. mutation
this is no teenage mutant ninja turtles ok? mutation caused by chemical reaction with the baby development will also make the baby a lil bit different from the normal gene of its family's
3. miracle
i know somebody who suddenly have green eyes when everybody in his family have black eyes and his family doesn't have any green eyes genes. it's MIRACLE. what else?

not necasarily, there is always a chance, but if you parents have said no then they are probably telling the truth. You do not have to look like your parents. There was one time when 2 white parents had a black baby. The husband thought the wife cheated, but she did not. It turns out her grandmother was married, and had kids with a black man. The genes go on forever, and pop up at different times. That is just part of nature. Both my parents had dark hair, yet my brother had really blond hair, and other then that he looks just like our father. That is how it works out sometimes. Good luck

No,not at all,me and my sister have brown hair and our brother has blond hair,he took his looks after our fathers side of the house.Just because she doesn't match everything about your other family members, doesn't mean that she doesn't belong, you need to love your sister and be her best friend, instead of trying to cause harm for her, because people that are adopted and when they do find out,it is hurtful. If they aren't adopted,it is still hurtful, like they don't belong.Don't had flame to the fire, when it isn't needed. If you feel strong on this issue, then go in confidence and talk to your parents without the presence of your sister. You know either or,you should be grateful to have her in your life, and i am sure she is that you are in hers.Good Luck to you!
