I'm not much of a religious person, but I'm VERY much curious to hear from all sides of the spectrum.

Possibly, but it would be by ourselves, as I believe that at the soul level, (not consciously) we choose our own time and manner of death. Consciously, the ego and the body fight death, but the soul knows when it is ready.

Yes.

The Bible teaches that nothing can happen to me unless it has been filtered through God's hands.

Psalm 139:14-16 (NIV)
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
[15] My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
[16] your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

All the days ordained for me we written in your book before one came to be.

God knows it. Read Psalm 139 ,"all the days ordained for me were written in your book before even one of them came to be."

I think God does not preordain it, but He knows when it will happen. He is all knowing.

I also think those who quote you psalms as proof are nuts. God has nothing to do with psalms

Its a fact that everyone who is born will one day die. It might be assigned to you but no one knows when it will come.
