Like the Matrix, it's an elaborate system designed to turn a normal, run-of-the-mill Xian into a Republican, conservative, gay-hating, abortion doctor-murdering, United Nations-fearing, apocalypse-supporting, faky-happy, non-questioning, hypocritical, mega-church-attending, arm-waving, thoroughly annoying, empty-headed DRONE.

Typically either non-denominational Protestant or Baptist. These people form the core of the conservative voting base. It's very easy to get these people to vote against their own self-interest. In fact, they've (inadvertently?) done more good for corporate America and the imperial presidency than any other constituency.

The most frightening thing about these people is that they believe in the apocalypse - a type of worldwide doomsday. Not only do they believe in it, they'll do all sorts of incredibly dangerous things to create a global catastrophe because they think it will make Jesus come back to Earth. I suspect that in the long run, there will have to be millions and millions murdered so that the remaining Born Again Xians can finally see that....

RELIGION IS ONLY TRUE AS METAPHOR.

IT IS NOT TO BE TAKEN LITERALLY.

It seems the default "religion" in this country is Christian. Well, most people who claim they are Christian are not really that. A Born-Again Christian is one that accepts Jesus as his or her personal savior. Read John 3:3 as it explains that one must be Born-Again spiritually as all men are born dead spiritually because of Adam and his first sin.
To be Born-again is to have a "relationship" with Jesus whereas the world likens Christianity to a "religion".

Born again

Born again is a term used primarily in the Fundamentalist, Evangelical, and Pentecostal branches of Protestant Christianity, where it is associated with salvation, conversion and spiritual rebirth. Outside of these circles, the term is often applied by extension to other phenomena, including a transcending personal experience — or the experience of being spiritually reborn as a "new" human being.

Christian concepts

To be born again in Christianity is synonymous with spiritual rebirth and, in many denominational traditions, salvation. The term is used somewhat differently in different Christian traditions.

The Christian use of the term is derived from the third chapter of the Gospel of John, where Nicodemus visits Jesus:

Now there was a Pharisee named Nicodemus, a leader of the Jews. He came to Jesus by night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God; for no one can do these signs that you do apart from the presence of God."
Jesus answered him, "Very truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born again."
Nicodemus said to him, "How can anyone be born after having grown old? Can one enter a second time into the mother's womb and be born?" Jesus answered, "Very truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit."

-John 3:1-5 (New Revised Standard Version)

(Note that some translators consider "born from above" to be a better translation than "born again".)

Most Christian denominations hold that a person must be born again in some sense in order to be a Christian, and thus that all who are true Christians are in fact born again, whether they describe themselves as such or not. The Roman Catholic church, for example, considers that "Baptism is ... the sacrament by which we are born again of water and the Holy Ghost." [1], though the term is not frequently used by Catholics. This is also the belief held by Eastern Christianity, Anglicanism, and Lutheranism, among other Christian traditions. However, the term itself is most frequently used by Fundamentalist, Pentecostal, and Evangelical Protestants, where it is often associated with an intense conversion experience and an encounter of the individual with the power of God. Most "born-again Christians" believe that baptism is symbolic rather than sacramental. Many Christians who are "born again" in this sense deny that those without such an experience are true Christians.

it isn't our position to wish someone will wade through. in ordinary words God can decide a soul and curiously he talked about fit that your neighbor die in a fiery spoil. you probably did not state why you've faith your neighbor advantages to bypass to Hell. i imagine that is sinful that you difficulty that someone gained't wade through adequate. difficulty about your own soul. reckoning on who you ask Hell isn't actual made up of "fireplace and brimstone" yet Hell is an section the position you is not really in God's mild or journey God's love. communicate over along with your preacher and word what they are asserting. If he tells you that your neighbor is burning in Hell and smiles then you definately opt to run, run a techniques away because absolutely everyone who receives exhilaration from somebody else's misery (no count number number how undesirable that human being changed into) isn't someone of God. P.S. i'm not Christian yet that is as on the point of a Christian answer as i ought to arise with. once you're merely joking - shame on you :)

TO BE BORN AGAIN MEANS; AT CHRIST RETURN WHICH IS THE FIRST RESURRECTION OR THE SECOND RESURRECTION WHICH IS FOR ALL THOSE WHO HAVE NOT HAD A CHANCE TO ACCEPT JESUS. IS TO BE CHANGED FROM THIS FLESHY BODY INTO THAT GLORIOUS SRIRITUAL BODY. JUST THAT SIMPLE.
Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Joh 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Joh 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Joh 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

A Christian is not a Christian unless he/she is "born-again". Humans are 3-part beings created in the image/likeness of their creator - Father/Son/Holy Spirit vs. spirit/soul/body. Unfortunately, the "spirit" part of every natural human, tracing back to Adam and Eve, is not able (separated by sin) to commune with God. When a person accepts Christ as their savior - accepts in their heart and confesses with their lips, they are said to be "born-again". It is the "born-again" person who is spiritually alive and able to commune with God the Father via the indwelling Holy Spirit. It's the only way. A natural human can not understand the Wisdom of God, it is beyond his capability, his understanding. Only the people with a recreated spirit are capable of understanding these Truths.

The fact that I'm explaining this to you and you see it as foolishness proves my point, does it not??

Jesus talked to Nicodemus in John 3 about the miracles he did and said that he could not see the kingdom of God unless he was born again. it means that your body has been born but your inward person has not yet, and then through accepting Jesus' work on the cross, your inward man is born "of the spirit"

To be "Born Again " is taken from the Gospel of John, chapter 3, verses 1-21. Jesus was speaking to Nicodemus and said “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” It is in reference to being born of the spirit of God by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Man was considered spiritually dead since the fall of Adam in the Garden of Eden. Jesus dying on the cross gave us a way to be born again in the spiritual sense.

"Born again" is a term that is used based on the idea to die from one's sinful life and be reborn anew. Following the symbolism of baptism representing the death and ressurection of Christ. In a sense all Christians are "Born again".

John 3
Jesus and Nicodemus

1After dark one evening, a Jewish religious leader named Nicodemus, a Pharisee, 2came to speak with Jesus. "Teacher," he said, "we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are proof enough that God is with you."

3Jesus replied, "I assure you, unless you are born again,[a] you can never see the Kingdom of God."

4"What do you mean?" exclaimed Nicodemus. "How can an old man go back into his mother's womb and be born again?"

5Jesus replied, "The truth is, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.[b] 6Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives new life from heaven. 7So don't be surprised at my statement that you[c] must be born again. 8Just as you can hear the wind but can't tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can't explain how people are born of the Spirit."

9"What do you mean?" Nicodemus asked.

10Jesus replied, "You are a respected Jewish teacher, and yet you don't understand these things? 11I assure you, I am telling you what we know and have seen, and yet you won't believe us. 12But if you don't even believe me when I tell you about things that happen here on earth, how can you possibly believe if I tell you what is going on in heaven? 13For only I, the Son of Man,[d] have come to earth and will return to heaven again. 14And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so I, the Son of Man, must be lifted up on a pole,[e] 15so that everyone who believes in me will have eternal life.

16"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.

18"There is no judgment awaiting those who trust him. But those who do not trust him have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God. 19Their judgment is based on this fact: The light from heaven came into the world, but they loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. 20They hate the light because they want to sin in the darkness. They stay away from the light for fear their sins will be exposed and they will be punished. 21But those who do what is right come to the light gladly, so everyone can see that they are doing what God wants."
