Please take her to the vet right away. Any kind of parasite requires immediate treatment by a doctor. This is not the time for home remedies.

It is most likely the larva of the cuterebra fly. The flies lay their eggs around the openings of small animal burrows, such as bunnies. The eggs hatch, and the larva burrow into the animals skin. They leave a hole by which they exit after they get big and nasty. Obviously, they can cause a nice little infection, and they certainly cannot feel good. The best thing is to see your vet. It is not usually difficult to remove them, but if it is large, your kitten may need a sedative, and a small incision made to remove the larva. It is really important to remove the entire larva. The wound usually clears up nicely with antibiotics and wound care after the larva is gone.
BTW - this is one of the grossest things that I have to deal with as a vet! Yuk, bugs!

Does it look like it could be a maggot? Sorry, I know that sounds gross, but often times in hot weather a sore of any kind can be a breeding ground for those disgusting little creatures. It could be something as simple as a hotspot (sore from a flea allergy) that was unfortunate enough to come in contact with a fly that laid eggs there. Take your kitten to the vet. They will be able to clean it out and provide you with an antibiotic to clear up the preexisting problem. Good luck!

It's a warble. A warble is the larvae of a bot fly. The warble will grow until it matures when it will exit the kitten's body leaving a hole. It's best to allow the vet to remove the warble now, don't attempt to do this yourself you could cause harm to the kitten. Bot flies lay their eggs on low lying leaves of bushes and brush. When an animal brushes against the eggs they attach to the animal and bore into the body. Your kitten should be kept inside to avoid another encounter with a warble or worse.

I saw a video where a doctor removed a giant maggot from the side of this lady's head by shaving a small area around the hole covering it with vaseline and sealing it with tape. The thing needs air, I guess. The doctor grabbed it with a big pair of tweezers as it came out. You might want to think about trying something similar with the cat...

You need to seriously take your cat to the vet and get anti-biotics. If the worm grows, it can affect the the organs and possibly lead to a more serious infection. Anti-biotics don't cost a lot. You could probably get the vet to kill the worm. Those are bad worms! Do not let them grow. your cat is suffering in silence. Please take your cat to a vet so it will no longer be in pain. Get a professional to deal with it.

those are tapeworm segments - the top of that tapeworm hookes into the intestinal wall. Fleas and tape computer virus bypass mutually becuase cats get tapeworm from eating fleas. you pick to get rid of the fleas too, not merely the tapeworm. there is an somewhat solid tapeworm tab now accessible "over-the-counter." it really is termed "Tapeworm Tabs" (for cats and kittens) made through Tradewinds and is offered in Petco and Petsmart. they arrive in small bottles which contain 3 pills. examine instructions for use intently. you pick to weigh your kitten and that i wil assume that he will pick in straightforward words a million/2 of a pill. I used this med for my personal cats and they worked. They were also ok'd through my vet. Your different selection is to have the cats dealt with through your vet - even if it truly is the intense priced route. do not overlook to manage the cat and the environs for fleas becuase f you do not the tapeworms will merely come lower back.

Do a flea and tic bath with the comb, then use the advantage stuff on the back of her neck (get it from you vet) the stuff from the store is oily and won't work.
My cat had those - it took a couple baths.
My vet didn't see anything - he just said it was dry skin (I could them)

it could be a worm but i doubt it. if your cat has a hole in its throat "breathing" , he needs to see a veterinarian now . don't think of trying anything at home to fix or especially remove something you cant even see
