Depends on price range. Lower end price range, a used Honda or used Toyota, make sure they are certified (checked out by the stores team) higher end skies the limit, Lexxus does pretty well, I can't afford them my car is a Pontiac G6 and I've done well with it. My former car Mitsubishi Eclipse 2004 was awesome as well, pricey on the lease but worth it. And I can't complain too much about my Saturn sl2 I had before these two, it was actually a great car.

Depends what you're looking for. For reliability and decent power, I've had luck with my 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi. It has a supercharged 3.8L V6, which has 240 horsepower. With regular oil changes and other scheduled maintenance, this car has lasted me 7 problem-free years. Its brother car is a Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. It is the exact same car with a different body and interior. You can pick one up with low miles and no mechanical issues for about $6000 - $9000.

It depends on your taste and budget....some of my favorites are the Honda Element, the new Toyota FJ Cruiser, and I would love to get a new Volkswagen Rabbit ( I loved my old one). I also like the Dodge Caliber ( looks nice and quite inexpensive)

Saturns are really dependable. They like never break down. They are really good if you get in an accident too. Plus they aren't too expensive.
