Well, depending on your age and history, chest pains MAY be nothing, meaning that you are not having a heart attack. Some chest pains may have other causes such as anxiety, muscle pain, excessive coughing, pneumonia, pericarditis .... Other times there are no specific cause for them, benign chest pains. Drs in ER treat chest pains seriously, they assume the worse and hope for the best. If all your results were normal, you are young and otherwise healthy, i wouldn't lose sleep over it.

I have chest pains often. I went to my doctor and he explained to me how they can be nothing:
Doing simple tasks such as breathing and moving strain muscles. It's natural. Sometimes a muscle is particularly soft, or particularly stiff. this could be from diet, sleeping habits, or movements you've currently done. Chest pains can be caused by a muscle straining too much, or just being pulled at an akward way (Like inhaling and turning downward at a curved angle at the same time).
That solved my problem, because I started doing things more liniear, and taking it a whole lot easier. My chest pains went away.

You are not dead enough yet to put you on life support forever. As soon as you go into a coma and stop breathing then they can hook up the ventilators and get a bag of money for every day that they can keep up some sort of brain activity. With luck, thay can drag you out in a vegetative state for years before it is obvious they have to pull the plug.
This is called a "cash cow". It's all about the money and as it is now they don't stand to make enough.

There are a plethora of reasons for chest pain, ranging from gastritis to myocardial infarction. The cure for the later is usually surgery, while the best cure for the former is a large Coke.

Nothing to them surely. I went to the ER a while back with chest pains and they told me the same thing. I insisted they test me, and guess what? I had had a heart attack that didn't show up on their preliminary tests. If you're a woman, as your avatar indicates, you really have to fight to be taken seriously. But it's worth it!
my fight turned up hidden heart disease and may well have saved my life. So check again and **keep on fighting**!
