I agree with you. Wake up people!!! We are fast becoming the minority. I think the only BET should be aired from Pelican Bay, where most Black people go anyway. I think there should be HETV...Hitler Entertainment TV. I think it's crap. If there was a WETV the blacks would scream racism. Look at poor Jimmy "The Greek". He made a true statement how blacks were bred to be bigger and stronger in the slave days. They canned his A$S. Dusty Baker--manager of the Cubs made almost the same statement and nothing happened to him. Maybe whites should become slaves of blacks. That way in 100 years we will have everything handed to us.

this is a very good question and I couldn't agree more. I think the answer is in order for there to be a WET network, the idea would have to be advertised and a test or pilot of this would need to be aired on some existing network. Quite honestly there would probably be about a hundred lawsuits for racism or slander, more than likely headed up by some jack a** like Jessie Jackson and the other Farakahn's of the nation. Its unfortunate there isn't a white based watchdog group out there that gets sue-happy every time a white person is called a honkie or cracker, or they could just keep each others groups busy in court all the time and LET EVERYONE ELSE THAT DOESN"T CARE ABOUT THEIR CAUSES LIVE THEIR LIVES WITHOUT FEAR OF WHAT SOMEONE MIGHT THINK IF THEY SAID THE WRONG THING WHEN THE RIGHT PERSON WAS LISTENING!

Because back in the day all t.v. shows were basically white people only.. Not until the past 10 or 15 years or so, have African Americans been in more movies and t.v. shows... They have BET because it's mostly rap, r&b and reggae... Which not to be rude to anyone... but it's mostly colored people who sing that kinda music... Granted I'm white and the only kinda music I listen 2 is reggae... But come on ppl... African Americans have been through alotta sh#t, at least let'm get a damn t.v. show... What the heck you bit%hin' about anyway.. See no matter what any one says thanx to our ancestors no one will ever not be racist!!! Just let it go...

Okay Ms...... Why are you calling people idiots?? You are the one asking an idiotic question?? Why don't you stop calling people out and telling them not to answer your questions.. People are intitled to their opinion, you don't like it then go and take your wet channel and shuve it... Call MTV and ask them to make a MTV-WET so your simple mind will be pleased...

Why is it racist for African Americans to have ONE network out of hundreds? Take your pick of any other station and rename it WET. White people are still the majority, still control most of network and cable television along with pretty much everything else and you are getting riled up due to one cable station that is actually watched by more whites than blacks. Arabslayer is just another example of someone who knows nothing about African Americans...he says that black people get everything handed to them. I actually busted out laughing on that one. I'm still trying to figure out all the things that have been handed to me. But anyway, from your question and comments, you seem to be racist and are upset that you can't be outwardly so. You can do whatever you want. Why don't you just go for it and see what happens?

I hear what you're saying. There are a few Yahoo groups for blacks or brothers only. There are many black clubs for blacks only. Sure it's reverse discrimination. Whites can't do the same thing without being called racist. On the other hand you could probably form an Italian , Irish, or Polish club and like that. How about a Polish television network?

While I understand the double standard I think you picked the wrong topic to make a stand.

We as people in America are too concerned about our ethnic identity instead of our national identity. Instead of being African American, White American or some such we should just be American.

Have pride in your cultural history and customs but be American. Have reverence for your ancestry but be American. Celebrate your traditions but BE AMERICAN.

People need to stop playing the race card just because they feel slighted. I don't complain about everybody in America taking my land or the buffalo or makes a stupid comment about drunk Indians and I am half Sioux. Instead I try make my life the best that it can be instead of blaming others. In truth my people as well as all native people have more reason to complain then anyone else. We lost our land.

I also don't make excuses about the state of my people. There is a reason why my people are seen as drunks and vagrants.Like many ethnic people in America they have gotten to the point that they feel they are owed something by everybody else and that they should just be given what they want instead of working for it. This has to stop by all the abusers of the system. I don't blame my friends because of what the government did in stealing land the death of many of my tribe over the years. It isn't their fault. It also isn't my fault or yours that someones great, great, great grandpa was enslaved. As bad is that was, I DIDN'T"T DO IT!

We all need to start moving past that. Not forget, but to move forward instead of rehashing the past that we can't change.

So when it come down to it stop complaining about the stuff that is unimportant such as a TV channel. Use your passion to raise everybody up instead of bringing them down.

feel free to start WET

if someone thought they could make money at it, they would

Because of our history, there is a tendency in the United States to consider any catering to the ethnic majority to be racist, while similar catering to ethnic minorities is considered "affirmative action". I did here on NPR a story about a group that provided a scholarship available only to white males. It was an actual scholarship and was awarded but it clearly was intended to make a statement with respect to the many scholarships available only to women and racial minorities.

Because there really is no predominant "white culture." White people are into all sorts of stuff and have all sorts of social scenes and subcultures. If you tried to put all of that one one station, it would be a mess.

I do understand where your coming from though. But it's really quite impractical and I don't think anyone would really watch it.

i thought of that before and its because of whites never had to endure slavery as big as the african americans. thats why society allows there to be a black entertainment channel, black only colleges, etc.
