The Quran is the WORD of God? The Quran is a text, like the Bible. Jesus is a character in both of them. What are you talking about?

According to christians-- jesus was/is the word of god and he was/is alive. this can be confusing because they're referring to both to the scripture and the man. see john 1:1-15.
with muslims they believe the the Koran is the word of god. unfortunately i cannot quote verse here.
both groups are being ethnocentric in this regard, each claiming they have the ONLY answer. in truth they both may be right.
living miracle? for the koran? didnt know. i am not that familiar with the text to say if there was ever a claim made in the text as to the "living" nature of the book.
the new testament was written in greek and the word used to describe jesus "logos" is translated word. i think the author was trying to establish the godness of jesus. the book was written to tell the story of jesus to a people who had no prior knowledge of the judio-christian belief system-- so to avoid confusion-- he makes a blanket introduction-- in the beginning was the word and the word was with god and the word was god. and later he states that the word became flesh and was human. and with the limitedness of the english language-- we may have missed the intentions that may have be intended.
sorry if i haven't cleared this up for you. it really boils down to what you believe to be true. i personally think god can take many forms and isn't confined to one interpretation.
hope you find your answer.

The only record we have of Jesus, is the Bible. Both the Bible and the Koran are books. Both books were written hundreds of years before the invention of the printing press and therefore were transcribed and copied over and over by hand. Both books are full of errors and superstitions based on the believes of ancient peoples.
Do you think if God wanted a specific set of instructions passed down to us he could think of a better way of doing it than a book. How about writing the ten commandments in code, in our DNA, and for our older readers how about 1-10 in large text across the face of the Moon. I think we could come up with a thousand ways of doing it better than a hand copied book. I guess God isn't quite as smart as we are.

Muslim worship a false god. allah.
Christians worship The True LIVE GOD Jehovah.
Muslims tell you, they are the same God. hahahahaha
Allah had no son. duh.
They think the Koran was wrote in Arabic. it wasn't all Arabic. Parts were Aramaic.
god in Arabic can be the same god. The problem is:
It is wrote in Aramaic. god=moongod. 1 of 360 moongods.
I won't flood this room with the facts. But if you want it in detail. post this again. I'll let you read what Islamic Scholars Say themselves.

They really think the Quran is the WORD of God? Ha! Well they're just plain wrong. Just because their book says so, it doesn't make it true.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Silly fools.

The Quran was written by Muhommad who was a regular human being. He died a regular death.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, perfect and without blemish. He sacrificed Himself for us to pay the penalty for our sin. He then arose from the dead and now sits at the right hand of the Father and will come again. http://www.chick.com/information/general/salvation.asp
I am not a scholar, but you don't need to be a scholar to understand God's plan of salvation. His sacrifice was for ALL people.
PaulS- the Bible is NOT the only record of Jesus. There exists Jewish and Roman record of Jesus Christ.

I.D. disciple....just becuz ur book says so...doesnt make it true..now does it? plz research b4 answring the question
No other religion in the world respects and dignifies Jesus as Islam does. The Qur'an confirms his virgin birth (a chapter of the Qur'an is entitled "Mary"), and Mary is considered to have been one of the purest women in all creation. The Qur'an describes Jesus' birth as follows:
"Behold!' the Angel said, God has chosen you, and purified you, and chosen you above the women of all nations. Mary, God gives you good news of a word from Him, whose name shall be the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, honored in this world and in the Hereafter, and one of those brought near to God. He shall speak to the people from his cradle and in maturity, and he shall be of the righteous. She said: "My Lord! How shall I have a son when no man has touched me?' He said: "Even so; God creates what He will. When He decrees a thing, He says to it, 'Be!' and it is." [3:42-47]
Muslims believe that Jesus was born immaculately, and through the same power which had brought Eve to life and Adam into being without a father or a mother.

Well, if you're looking for evidences, you are barking up the wrong tree. Both are beliefs of the respected religions and every thing that one person submits as "evidence", another will submit something to refute it. The path to truth is not found through the wisdom of 'men'.
