I purchased DDR some time ago when my friend later informed me about Stepmania on the computer. If you really want to play a dancing game without having to ask your parents for over $100 thne you can try this out.

It supports a dance pad. I believe you will will need to purchase a converter for a PS2 dance pad to PC. Be sure to check requirements for this game to see if your computer can handle it. The converters are terribly difficult to find. I use to work in a small game shop and we sold them there. It just lets you plug in a PS2 accessory.

As far as convincing your parents for what you are asking, Perhaps you can suggest working it off with chores or other tasks. Also, compare some prices with PS2's and the other items to see if youc an find it cheaper elsewhere. SEcond hand stores should sell the units and games. I would suggest getting a new dance pad as they tend to wear down easily. If you find what you ar elooking for and it costs under $300 then act fast and tell your parents! Deals don't last too long so it might pursuade them to purchase the items before someone else does.

Well I hope this helped even only a little bit.
Good luck!

Oh...Check online at half.com or your local game stores that are't big chain stores like Best Buy, Game Stop, Fry's, etc... The mom & pop shops are usually nicer on deals.

well... the ddrextreme 2 and dance mat(1 of them) are $50 as a set from Best Buy, and most PS2's come with a controller... why buy both a PSP and a PS2? You can go to Walmart and buy a cheap memory card... but um... as for the 'rents... id just explain that the price is gonna go up towards christmas... and that DDR is very worth the money spent. Unless you are buying other games, you don't need controllers for DDR, but a memory card is advised... Check out a gamestop or funco land or a Video game store.

Try the grades route. Did you get good grades? or, Do work around the house. Since you also want all of the ddr stuff, say you will be healthier haveing a way to excercise that is fun.

Either wait till your birthday, or get good grades. There has to be a reason for them to buy the PS2!
