You bet I do! I was the last to leave the nest, and when I moved to Kansas 4 years ago ( I am back now) she was devasted! Not to mention I was too! I had never moved out until the day after I got married. I would call at least 6 or 10 times a day, I was soo depressed! But with some help from my new husband and a shrink I was good. I moved back that August, when he was deployed to Iraq. We grew closer, and she helped me so much with the birth of my son, her sixth grandbaby and her first to live with her and my dad. Of course we fought all the time but I guess that is normal when two totally oppsites butt heads ALL the time! Its been four years, and we are back in town only 2 miles away from my mom. She spoils my son rotten with love and affection, he just loves her too! I am soo happy that I am very close with my mom. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have her close at hand when I needed her the most. You know?

I'm very close to my mom. I think she's one of the greatest people ever and is always there for me even though I've grown up and am now married on my own. We still get together and go shoe shopping and things like that. I guess I am very lucky.

My mom has been gone for about 35 years and we have just began speaking to each other. I was in my early teens when she left us and took me over 20 years to speak to her. I used to hate her but NOW, i feel sorry for her and i speak to her (kinda) often.

I did...she was my best friend and buddy...until she died. Wasn't always that way though. As a teenager we didn't see eye to eye and she was more a parent. After I married things changed and we really had some great talks and became good friends. As I got older...in my 40's...we really became best buddies.

yes, but it also can depend on your stage in your life for example as a teen you may prefer to talk to your peers as compared to when your older more mature, but again it depends on your upbringing amongst other things.
