I think we could go round and round regarding the immigrant issue until something is done about it. First of all (just an opinion) I feel sorry for these guys. They work like dogs, get paid for much less than they are worth, and the people that hire them should be ashamed because it is allowed to go on. To the americans (not all) the god almighty dollar is the most important thing to them and if it means giving an immigrant a job that he can pay under minimum wage to vs an American that would have to be paid much more, who do you think will be picked? Either we allow them to stay and pay them a fair wage, or we send them back to their country. It cant continue the way its been. Americans feel that these jobs are rightfully theirs, but who is truly to blame for this? The people that hire them for such a low wage or the Politicans who allow it?

All illegals aren't good...but i certainly believe the majority are not bad...they contribute to the US Socio-Economic Structure in ways you can't begin to imagine... Ways that far out way the sole complaint of being a financial burden on the US economy.... Their labor and sacrifice in reality my friend is what allows the US economy to boom! That's just the facts... All politics aside with how to go about dealing with the "immigration problem" the reality is that the benefits do out way the drawbacks!

Illegals cannot work as required by law. Thus, illegals usually cannot work in the US or if hired, they are paid below the standard. So, in order to get money, they now go to illegal means such as robbery, gambling, prostitution and syndicates. The US government must do something to regulate this predicament and help solve illegal immigration.

If we did not have immigrants to fill the back-breaking labor shortages that US citizens don't want to do (such as in agriculture--picking fruit, bucking bails) then we would have a crisis.
My friend manages a greenhouse where they grow plants to distribute to stores. One day at a community fair a caucasian teen yelled to my friend that since he employed Mexicans, then he did not support US labor. My friend told the teen and his friends to show up the next day and they could have a job. Of course, they never showed.
I am all for American jobs and I think when we depend on immigrants to fill the jobs we can't or don't want to do, then it is hypocritical to make them "illegal". Immigrant labor overall strengthens the US economy.

I have never met anyone from Mexico that just lives to break the law. That is not their intentions. We have our own people breaking the law, and causing harm, why put it on a certain type of people? Ignorance is what's hurting America.

they r doing more harm, its 6 years now since my dad applied for immigration for his brothers so they can come to the USA, and these mexicans r here running around shooting other people. Even if they support the USA by working, its nothing all they do is do drugs and go to bars and clubs and waste money.

Yes. The reason we limit poor immigrants is because we have to subsidize the bulk of the cost for education and other services for poor people in this country. Our services, particularly in areas where illegals concentrate, are failing. We don't have enough for ourselves, much less extra to share with foreigners.
Many of them are likable people, but our own children's education has to come first, especially since we are the ones who are paying for it.

You are right, but then again we can not blame them....Because WE let it happen. I have been out of the US for 15 years, I am a proud patriot and bought a medium sized business. I tried to hire Americans...but they do not want to work, and if they do work they are always a threat..with lawsuits workers comp ect...so hat did I do? I had to hire LEGAL mexicans, that are better workers, cheaper and less of a threat. e are allowing this to happen to ourselves..its really sad and I hate it.

You're an obvious racist. They do a lot more good then harm. Too bad we couldn't get some lazy *** Americans to work as hard as the illegals do and will!

No, Republicans do more harm than good. What's the body count up to in Iraq? Over 100,000 civilians killed, 2,500+ US troops, hundreds of billions of dollars in war costs. I think that qualifies our conservative brethen to be more of a detriment to American values than illegal immigrants. We're discussing more harm than good, right?
