cancer: what was gods logic behind this creation? and please...if you actually beleive that sin is the reason why we have sickness and disease then do me a favor....go outside and play in the sandbox.

To give Glory to God. Let things come full circle. Relationships have grown tremendously as a result of tragedy.

The grand design (getting down to basics) is the formation of a healthy cell, cancer is the growth process gone wrong. God didn't make cancer, man did. Man can also take the blame for all the other sicknesses and deseases(perhaps not outright but he would be somewhere in the equation as a contributing factor)...its not sin nor God, but if you want to talk about a plague of locusts or such, that would be Him

God did not design cancer or any other disease. God designed man with a perfect organism and warned him what would happen if he disobeyed. Continued perfection was dependent on obedience. When man disobeyed, he stepped outside the umbrella of God's protection. If you step outside the protection of your umbrella in a downpour, won't you get soaked? Do you then turn to the umbrella and accuse it of failing to protect you? That is essentially what happened.

Even in his perfect state, Adam had to follow God's way. For instance, if he ate only dirt, he could not possibly hope to survive. Once he disobeyed, God was not obligated to continue his perfection but allowed him to go his own way. Old age, sickness and death was the result.

Don't questions God's judgement or bad things may happen to you. Believe me God has created every thing for a reason. This life is a test. What kind of a test would life be if there weren't any challenges thrown at us in order to measure our patience and faith in God.

You must also know when you become sick God forgives your sins and also God makes us sick to see whether we say good and bad both come from God or whether we rebel and say bad things about God.

God's Intelligent Design includes evolution through the process of genetic mutation. There are positive mutations and negative mutations. Over time, the negative will be weeded out.

You have a very narrow view of God's great Design and should not question His motives, for they are beyond mere humans such as yourself to comprehend.

OVER the centuries, the question of why God allows suffering has challenged many philosophers and theologians. Some have asserted that since God is all-powerful, he must ultimately be responsible for suffering.

If you want to really know, your truthful answer is right here. But only one thing, you are going to have to read it.-------> http://www.watchtower.org/library/w/2003/1/1/article_02.htm

In the book of Job God chastised men rather thoroughly that they could have become so arrogant as to believe they could understand his methods or his purpose.

Also in Job, all the loss and illness suffered by Job came from Satan, not God.

So I believe all harm to man comes from Satan himself, or from men under his influence.

As for why he doesn't intrevene with Satan, I will not risk his chastisement by pretending I know. But perhaps Angels were granted free will, too. And I know he never intervenes with that. I also know that whatever is done with free will is eventually rewarded or punished.

As a Christian, I don't believe God "designed" cancer. A lot of it has to do w/ environmental factors/ external factors. I don't believe it's a punishment either, although some diseases perhaps are spread by reckless behavior (std's).
God's love and mercy is evident in my life. Humble yourself and pray to Him. He loves you and offers His salvation to you and everyone else.

Why assume everything that exists has been made by God?
Man can also create.
Man can create a mess.
Ask the residents of 3 Mile Island.
Sometimes we are the victims of our own stupidity.
