When my husband is heading into an Operational Tour. I tend to spend the day reminding him of what he is going to miss, and what will be waiting for him when he comes home...between packing, and having conversations like: Did you remember to pack the Immodium Darling?' and 'I can't find my bloody rank slide'. We are very practical people!

before my husband left on a 6 month deployment, we laid around in a hotel room in virginia, me him, and our two boys.....we also cuddled, hugged, and cried alot.
