The beautiful thing about religion is that it is so intensely personal. Only you can decide what feels right to you, and for you. In the stillness that comes with quiet reflexion, how you feel determines your path and choices. We could talk about evidence, but again, only you can decide what you will accept as evidence. That's why many people talk about 'feeling' truth. There is really no other way to describe it.

What makes me so sure? My understanding, faith, and belief grows and changes all the time. I am sure that I have chosen the right religion for me, that's all I'm sure of. But I believe it so strongly that I share it with others, encouraging them to ask questions, study, meditate, ponder, pray, ask, etc. etc.

True religion encompasses all truth. True religion will point you ever closer to God - light, peace, kindness, stillness, stability, foundation, love of self, love of others.

Man, you're burning up 5 points a whack and ain't even taking the time to read your answers! I have OFFICIALLY chosen NO particular religion, although I AM a Christian. Every Christian religion wants to believe in the same thing, but just in a different way. When I walk in the door and find that something inside me says: "You're here!", that's when I'll know.

I have a strong feeling inside of me that I have chosen the right religion that will never change because it is what I believe.

I haven't chosen a religion myself and I am perfectly happy with being int he position of not knowing. I think if you can't be fulfilled in a position of the unknown then you will have a need to "be right" all of the time, which can lead to things not so good, such as intolerance.

Personally, the way my life changed after I found Christ.

I dont practice one religion over another, I am not Cathiloc, Baptist, Muslim, whatever, I believe in God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Bible. I think religion is man made, broken down over centuries of men wanting power and using religion as the jumping point to gain it. That said....

For me, I choose the right thing. My life changed, my very being changed in relation to it, and all for the better. I have "proof" that I see daily, be it in thought, emotion, faith, what have you. For me, this is the right way, for ME, it is the only way. But to each his own, I am not the judge of it.

Im a Christian and I know because, first of all its obvious God exists, just look around and He cant be proven wrong. Also I have a personal relationship with Him and have seen Him work (that might sound weird if you havent experienced it. Also because of the Bible:
The Bible was written since the beginning of time by 100's of different people from all nations and lang. and different time periods yet it is without error, which just proves that it is God-breathed- Plus historians have been able to learn things from it and have seen prophesies come true

i haven't "chosen" a religion...i decided to stop running from God, and accepted the gift of Christ's sacrifice on the cross...i am a member of a baptist church, and the people there are my church family...but i'm a Christian first, and would be so whether i attended a methodist, lutheran, catholic, or any other church-Christ didn't create these denominations, man did-and i am sure that i made the right decision because i feel it

Because it is the religion of my toughest, most stiff-necked ancestors, some of whom died for it.

I didn't know about that until I was middle-aged and, demonstrably, the same sort of stubborn person.

So I know that it fits, I am practicing the "right" religion for me. Others often have a different path, though.

actually i would say yes i am a Christian because i try to life my life like Christ lived his i believe he died for the worlds sins but as far as religion. that is rules and rituals made by man.
I have a personal relationship with my father God in Heaven i ask daily for the Holy Spirit to guide my way. following the preachers and doing certain rituals isn't going to get you to heaven no matter what you practice we are all Gods Children and he is very Sad that his children do not see or recognize that he is there for them.

Not technically a religion but I found Buddhism. It suits me because I have developed a spiritual philosophy then found that it is very similar to Buddhist beliefs.

I was comforted that my beliefs were legitimised by an established group
