have you ever noticed when you work out, fatter areas on your body seems cooler to the touch than the rest of your body?? does anyone know WHY that is?? i would think if i'm sweating and working out and hot, my chunks wouldn't feel cool! my fiance and i are wondering WHY this happens! :)

I could think of some reasons, first, that's the main purpose of the sweat, keep cool your body inside and outside, second, the fatter areas you mention have layers of fat over the muscles, those doesn't get hot with the workout, only the muscles, and third, it has something to do with the thermal changes inside and outside the body and the balance in temperatures.
And as they say above, your sweat is evaporating and when some liquid evaporates in the surfece it leaves the temperature drops.

Sweating is your body's way of cooling itself off. That's why the areas that sweat the most feel the coolest. Its the air hitting the sweat.

your sweat is evaporating and pulling the heat away from your body, which is the purpose of sweating...just to do that...cool you off
