For example, would it be weird if I asked for tabasco at olive garden to put on my spagetti?

Nothing is weird with Tabasco sauce......it's made to go on everything! Ask my step brother, he practically drinks it!! Too bad I don't have the tummy to handle it..... :(

If you go to a nicer restaurant, i think it would be considered as an insult to your chef, but again olive garden is fine.
Plus my daughter loves Tabasco on her pasta and we are from the US

No, I don't think putting tabasco sauce on pasta is weird in the U.S. Actually, it really depends on preference and if you like it or not. There's nothing wrong putting whatever condiments you put in your food unless you don't like the taste of it.

Well, generally, if you see it at all, it would be throwing a little in the sauce when cooking it, just as you might also put in a little ground black pepper. . .
Even so, 1. You are an adult, 2. You are paying for it, 3. Everybody has different tastes.
Ignore people like this, smile at the waitress, ask for what you want and enjoy the meal.

Heck, I put hot sause of one kind or another on most things I eat. Try just a dash on your apple pie! YUMMY! But if your going to olive garden I'd suggest to BYOB. And there are much tastier kinds of hot sause than Tabasco.

straight tabasco? Or to add to your sauce...if you add it to your sauce...I don't know about weird...but I have friends who do it...but I don't know if they even have tabasco at Olive Garden...do they? Are you asking cause you did it and got a strange reaction?

No, it is not weired. I live in Texas. My 6 yr old son loves hot sauce on his pasta.
If you like the taste, go for it.
I like it too.
You are the one eating, so eat your food how you like it.
