I own one side, the other side is rental. They have 5 screaming, stomping, slaming doors, temper tantrum, rotten kids, who wakes us up every morning. When I notify the police, they become quiet.
What can I do? Mediation failed, a complaint to the County Attorney failed, the landlord failed...help we need our rest!

Well, if I am not mistaken, I think you can actually take someone to court for this. Im surprised the county att. never told you what your rights are. Do you have a private attorney? If you can afford one, I would continue to complain, get as much documentation as you can and if need be, call the landlord daily--hopefully they will get sick of your complaints and do something about it. I definitely have been where you are but I was renting and the day I moved was the best thing I ever did! Good luck!!

how about talking to them?
going to bed earlier so you get your rest
If you've gotten no action from the steps you've taken - get earplugs.

I'd use caution about calling the landlord daily - the action may be eliminating the one who is complaining.

I'd call DCFS and tell them you suspect the kids are being neglected.
