We can't, but Christians can because they like to ignore the truth.

The Shroud of Turin can not be accurately dated by using carbon dating. It was in a fire. That is why it has singe marks on it. Anything that has been burned becomes an unknown quantity scientifically speaking.

I am a long time True Christian and a Fundamentalist.

I do NOT believe the Shroud of Turin is anything super special and if it got destroyed tomorrow I could care less.

REAL CHRISTIANS who understand the Bible - do not give any plausibility to the Shroud of Tourin. It only clicks with Roman Catholics who do not represent all of nor true Christianity.

The Shroud was a fake, is a fake and has as much to do with Christ as those paintings of Jesus by men who never met him.

That's why it's called faith. It's nice to have things that back us up from time to time, but it is faith that truly keeps a Christian grounded. I have my doubts about the shoud of Turin.

By the way, carbon dating is not as accurate as some would have you believe.

The shroud is a purported relic and really does nothing to deter from Christianity if false it only enhances it if it is real.

Shhhh, don't tell the christians, they'll say "God works in mysterious ways" and pass it off like they do everything else.

Any religion does not depend upon proof...whether a shroud or anything else.

A religion is based on only one thing.....

**** FAITH. ****
