Slightly offended by the witchcraft jab. Technically, it's really just "occult" or paranormal, and I've never tried hypnotism myself.

I've never heard of anyone giving any scripture that would explain why it would be a sin. Some people say that hypnotisn is related to witchcraft somehow, but these people never explain their rationale.
