My ex-boyfriend broke up with me just a few days ago. He said he still wants to be friends, and so do I. He said he doesn't want me out of his life totally. We haven't spoken since we broke up and it's driving me crazy! Should I just call him, text him, email him? Or should I wait for him to contact me? I don't wanna ruin anything.

Ah. That "I still want to be friends" statement after the break up, huh? That is tuff. I do not like that. I mean it is cool that they still want to be friends and all but to think of it sometimes it leads into false hopes.

Some people would think since they are still friends after the break up there is still hope of getting back together. But usually, never.

Not only that, but he said "he doesn't want you out of his life totally" hrmm.. have you ever thought that he might use you as a rebound? That would stink.

Anyway, since you two already broke up and he said that he still wants to be friends with you. You might as well wait for his call. Do not call him. It might give him the idea that you still want him back and maybe you do. But girl, if he dumped you... You should move on. There are better guys out there.

I know it is going to be hard on you but you'll get use to it. You should go hang out with your friends or do something that you have been longing to do since dating your ex. Have fun. He will be off of your mind soon.

And if he calls you, great. But do not get into deep with him. If the first time did not work, do you think the second time will?

Good luck.

well someones gotta give, you should call him but wait a couple more days so he doesnt think you are obsessed. By the way do you really want to stay friends or just want him back as a bf? that is the question. Cause you know he was probably (not 100% though) saying that to be nice about the breakup.

Are you a glutton for punishment? Get this guy out of your life for good! You can't be friends with someone you've been intimate with. You can be civil and say hello if you accidentially bump into him on the street, but you can't hang out. It would just torture you. What in the world are you afraid of "ruining". Get the hint and move on and DO NOT be friends. You'll just be miserable if you continue this relationship on any level. Find someone else more deserving.

Wait for him to contact to. Honestly, he might have just said that to you to let you down easier. The only way to know how serious he is about the friends thing is to let him call you first. Plus this will show if you are on his mind at all.
I know it's hard so be strong. Don't contact him. Let him make that first initial move.

You should ask him [call him, whatever] if he wants to see you sometime so you guys can talk in person. Guys aren't really into that call, text, e-mail thing, they just want to see you in person. Maybe you should take some time off and give him a break so you can let go and start again as friends.

he probably just said that to make it easier to break up with you, its typical of a break up, it doesn't really mean anything. you need to start finding something else to do and no don't contact him, if he meant it you'll hear from him, if not he'll avoid you anyway, besides you don't want to just be his friend so you can't enter that phase of a relationship honestly, you need to get over him and stay away from him until you have moved on with your life enough to honestly just be friends.

There doesn't sounds like there is much to ruin... Let him contact you if you must... But it would be better for you both to close the door and move on... He sounds like he's playing games with you, like he wants his cake and wants to eat it too... You are better than that Sweetie!!!
