I guess the writers of the bible were mainly interested in the content and the message with no emphasis on the formal aspect of the writings. The musical dimension in the Coran is just overwhelming. It is written in rhymed prose. Scholars call it assonance, I suppose. Coranic recitation is an art in itself

cuz it rhymes. It rhymes because Allah (God) wants to save humankind without beaven being a freebie, and memorizing the Quran is one of the top best deeds a person can do. It was also done because it was easier to accept. In Muhammad's time, poetry was like what music is now, so Allah made Muhammad, a man who couldn't read or write, in other words illiterate, his prophet so the people could see that they Quran was the words of God, not just some man.

Why would anyone want to memorize either one? I'd rather hear stories about Jack and the Beanstalk or The Three Little Pigs.

I never found it difficult to memorize Bibical passages. Of course, I never found it difficult to memorize any quote from any source if I put my mind to it.

Maybe you just view the Bible differently (I.E.: you might have a mental block.).

because people try to memorize it. they spend years trying to memorize it in schools. you should try to listen to the quran. it sends u in a trance.
