It is encouraged that we don't participate in activities that further our time with those in the world. Yes we have to be around them while in school but why make additional plans to associate with them when it isn't necessary. Could that time be spent studying or out in the service? Is the activity and it's association pleasing to Jehovah? It's your decision. You can always encourage friends and "incite to love and fine works", but it should always be done in modesty and humility. You can only do so much, the rest is between that person and Jehovah ;)

HI samara. It's me. Cassie. The one you're talking about. I just would like to say that my parents dont approve of what you're saying about me. but they approve of what i'm doing with my life. And a lot of people at my kingdom hall wear eye liner and some girls I know dance, and are Jehovah's Witnesses. And I am very ready to get babtized. I love Jehovah with all of my heart and soul, and care about him so much. And all of my worldly friends know that I am a Jehovah's Witness, and I witness to them whenever I can. And I am not a hilary duff clone thank you very much. And I haven't been missing meetings or not been going out in service! I don't miss because of that! I either miss because I am sick, or my mom and/or dad is sick.

Jehovah's Witnesses recognize that the bible has given clear instruction on many matters, but that there are many personal decisions which are left to individuals and families to decide for themselves.

Especially since this question seems to refer to schoolchildren, the child's parents are best prepared to understand the specifics and approve or disapprove of their child's behavior.

If a Witness youth became worried about troubling behavior (cutting classes, smoking, drinking, etc) by his or her Witness classmate, she should bravely discuss this with her classmate and perhaps the classmate's parent or guardian. School officials may also have resources to help young people who are struggling with personal problems.

I'm a JW's, yes u can defenitely do after-school activities depending what it is like tutoring. For instance, if u have band practice, you can't participate in any holiday parades or parties of any sort. wearing eyeliner is O.K. as long as it doesn't make u look gothic. Hope this helps. Bye.

Jehovah in his infinite wisdom saw fit to give us free will knowing some would choose the wrong way. Teach her the truth.
Concentrate on that! Then let her choose what she wants to do.
As it touches her heart, she will respond when she is ready.
If you convince a man against his will he is of the same opinion still. Has to come from the heart of the indivual.
When she sees the contrast of a worldly person and the filty talk, obscene sex, etc.to someone wanting to please God.
She will choose the one who is best for her.
That my dear is not your choice or your decision.
We have a tough time changeing ourselves. You cannot change another person.

you can get involved in after school activity's as long as it is not for a holiday. we don't get involved. as far as makeup, we can wear makeup as long as we don't look like a clown, like Tammy Faye baker. she may not be ready to get baptized yet, it may not be in her heart. Jehovah knows her heart. also I am tired of people saying we are a cult. we are a religion. since when do we allow our children to die. we get the best care that we can just like anyone else does. we don't take blood, who would, you can get sicker from blood and blood is holy to Jehovah God

if you are a Witness, then you know two of Jesus' very important lessons

1) Judge not, &

2) you will know a tree by it's fruit.

Jehovah will not be mocked & you know this. who can say what is in a person's heart but Him. trust & know that He sees all - straight to the heart of each human on the planet whether they profess to believe in him or not.

if she is righteous, Jehovah will know. if she's not, it will not go by unnoticed.

have faith.

You mean your cult doesn't say anything to you about after school activities? Wow, they allow a baby to die, but they don't dictate that part of your life? Shocking.
Do your friend a favor, stop trying to brainwash her into your way of thinking or should I say Satan's mascaraing as God.
