My experience of sushi was when I was in Japan and visiting a freind and I got to meet the family for dinner an being a guest I was set at the head of the table where I was given the head of the fish, eyes and all. It was tough to eat but on the other hand I was not going to upset the family(culture) by not. My experience from that time was I have not ate sushi again but I love cooked fish of ALL kinds

Depends on the type...the common misconception with Sushi is that people think Sushi means raw fish...Sushi actually refers to the rice that is used.
I have had a type of sushi called a spider roll and it is made with fried soft shell crab and it is delicious..nothing raw in it...although I do like some that have raw fish in it.

The sushi is not as good as the Wasabi and Soy sauce, But es it is awesome, and if Americans would adopt the Japaneese diet, we woulld not be so fat, and have better lives. If you are disqusted with the Raw fish part of sushi, be aware that not ALL sushi has raw fish, there are alot of sushi dishes with just veggies.

I tried it for the first time a few years ago and have loved it ever since.

Like most foods, there are kinds that I like better than others. I just can't see myself eating eel or squid, but most of the fish types are quite tasty.

It's amazing to me how much more flavorful fish is when served in this fashion.

There are many different varieties to choose from with numerous different ingredients... I would be always certain that you could find something to love!!! I am a big fan, but there are some "interesting" ones that I am not too keen on... Try everything though, don't discount it... You might be surprised!!!
