Why would it have made Jesus impure to have had a child? He may well have been married to Mary, just because it doesn't say so in the bible, doesn't mean he wasn't.

Celibacy is not a form of worship, it is a form of punsihment, no different to flaggelation.

Steves wifey, just because it's not written about in the bible, doesn't mean it didn't happen. Rolar bears aren't written about in the bible and they happen.

According to the word of God in the king James version of the Bible it tells us to flee from fornication but if you get married God's word tells us to be fruitful and multiply.

God told the disciples what to write in the Bible and if it was not written in the Bible it did not happen nor is it true. Man- kind puts a lot if false information in our head and makes us question every thing that is written in the Bible. But God tells us to believe in his word and not in man.
Do I think Jesus had a Child, no! And why would it have made him impure because having a child out of wedlock would have made him of sin and you cannot forget that Jesus the Son of God was sinless and pure. Also, he was not sent to earth to be married but to save others through his death.

Engh...we're taught sex is bad by some religions because they know the INTENSE bond it creates with other humans.

They don't want you to experience that bond without extreme guilt because it would weaken their political hold on you.

Also, by threatening to dredge-up 'sexual deviance' between consenting adults, they can keep them shamed and quiet, even though the rest of their life involves being a good citizen, a hard-working charity volunteer and gentle human.

Religion, it's all political. They want to control our lives and our wallets - and one way they facilitate is to demonize our crotches.

Sex is beautiful, and from what I've read, Jesus was married. So I am sure he had plenty.

Celibacy is in itself an act of extreme worship. This is just one of the ways Jesus honored God through making the tough choice instead of the easy one.

sex is not bad. it's as natural as breathing. the reason i think the story is told that way is to put him above us. the "virgin birth" the abstanence, etc, etc. it was all in order to set him aside in a different office than the rest of us. but i can see now where people get the idea that sex is "dirty". but look at it this way. the virgin birth happened when mary was a kid, and she did become sexually active while jesus was a child. oh yes, how else do you think her and joseph had all those children???

Sex isn't bad...God created it as the ultimate act of love between husband and wife.

What is written in the bible is what really happened. Many people have their own opinions about what they think could have happened, but I don't regard their opinions over what the Word of God says is true.

wen we read d bible it says dat god called man 2 b fruitful and multiply.. that is our purpose.. however Jesus.. God's son's purpose was not the same as man's purpose bcuz he was 100% god as well as 100% man.. jesus purpose was to b the ultimate sacrifice 4 our sins.. in the old testament yearly each family wud sacrifice a chosen animal in order 2 redeem themselves of sin.. god chose to send jesus 2 earth so that he cud b the ultimate sacrifice... jesus purpose was 2 fulfill his destiny as mesiah and he didn't have time "2 get it on".. how cud he avoid sexual temptations? Well he is god! lol

Jesus was married to mary magdaline, and they had a child, named Sarah.

Promiscuous sex is bad. Sex in a true love relationship should be sacred.

He is talking of Mary Magdalene.
nick c, I thought you people call him God, so which God is it that does not have time for Jesus to have a child.?
mike g, which God did Jesus honour, didn't you people say he is God?

To your question, Sex is not bad if it is carried under the institution of marriage.

Sex is considered evil. So is breathing, thinking, and eating after midnight! (No, wait, that last one's from Gremlins!)
