I can totally relate to your point of view and I guess you would be right if this world was fair all by itself and there wasn't such thing as corruption or racism or sexism or anything else.
I got my job for being a sIut, not because of a spell. But did I really deserve it? Shouldn't someone else be working at McDonald's who wasn't so bitchy and who could speak more clearly and smile all the time?
We'll never know, will we?
Most of my friends got their jobs because they're white and good-looking. I could have Goth friends, and they could have cast spells to get their jobs. Would it make that big a difference? Do my current friends really deserve their jobs?
They way I see it, it's more work to learn witchcraft than to be white.
You can't really say Wicca is unfair because it doesn't really add to the unfairness of this world, it just substitutes it for another one. And less people are philosophically unfulfilled when they practice a religion like Wicca. Or 'witchcraft' as you call it and I like to call it when no one's there to criticize me.
I'd say blessed be, but I'm not that kind of Wiccan (the unconsciously retarded kind)

Stay away from the Harry Potter books, Charmed, and movies, please, and talk to real Witches about the nature of their majick.
We do have a thing that's called the Threefold Law: every action will come back to one magnified threefold, be it good or bad. We keep that in mind always.
Wiccans try to cast spells keeping in mind that harming anyone is forbidden and the results will smack us in the face if we do. There are always renegades who stray from the morals, but you shouldn't press the image of certain individuals onto the whole group. We don't cast spells that harm another, and that includes going against a person's will.
Sides, the spells are rather tame. Despite the best spellwork, it won't work unless the person goes ahead and tries to make it happen. I.E. If a Wiccan casts a spell to get a job, but he/she doesn't go out and find one/send out his/her resume, chances are he/she will remain unemployed.
Please do some research and talk to people before you start casting stones at people.

I believe, being a Christian and a Wiccan, that people are afraid of what they do not understand. Most Wiccans try adamantly not to interfere with other people without their consent. Casting spells and preforming magick is more like an active form or prayer than anything else. With your example, preforming a spell to get a job might not be to get someone to hire you. the casting of the spell itself would probably enhance your own confidence, and in doing so, enhance your chances of finding a job. It's not in any way about manipulating other people.and it has nothing to do with power. Most Wiccans tend to respect their communities more than other people, because they tend to be more aware of their environment since wicca is deeply rooted to the earth. Why would they want to do harm to anyone else? To me, that doesn't make sense. If you looked a little closer, you might see that Christianity and Wicca are a lot more alike that you might think.you might want to domore research before you start throwing stones.

Okay. I'm Pagan. Walk away from the Harry Potter books.
You need to cool it. Really, you do. What about for self-empowerment? Gods forbid someone does a spell to keep themselves from going insane because they're a teenager in an abusive household where they've been beaten and barely fed, screamed at for no reason, and told that everything that goes wrong is their fault.
You should really just chill out some. Everything's not in black and white. Besides, it doesn't just work that you go for a specific job with a spell like that. That they FIND a job in general, whatever it may be. We don't get specific for that exact reason you named.

Adder,
I feel the need to explain to you why witchcraft is considered evil. The main reason is because King James was scared to death of anything that resembled it, so he had his scribes change the wording of the version of the Bible used at the time to benefit his own needs, and one thing changed was to make it sound like witchcraft was evil. I have researched witchcraft and wicca for sometime now and I can assure you that niether one is in any way evil or associated with Satan. At least not any more than you.

Wouldn't that stand for all people then? For every action there is a reaction. These types of natural laws are valid for everyone, not just those you wish it to affect.
And please, research. Before you can attack something, like witchcraft, don't you have to first know what it is? Everything you have stated is a generalization that can be applied to almost any organization you wish to pick. Including any religion... such as praying for a non-believer to become a believer... this is also manipulation. Whether you wish to admit it or not.

oh my goddess... and just how much research have you done on the wiccan religion???
Sounds like you have done like... none???
We are ETHICAL people. We dont cast what you think of as "spells" to get what we want because that is UNETHICAL.
There maybe a wiccan out there that does unethical things but dont assume all of us is like that. Thats just ignorant.
Now I have NEVER casted a spell, NEVER. And I never will to get what I want. I HAVE prayed for someone (after asking if I could, because its unethical not to just pray without asking.... CHRISTIANS) I prayed for them to become well again because they were sick. Or if they were being evicted, that everything would be okay.
Please.... We are not evil... We love mother earth, and grow plants for her when she needs it. we clean up what trash you people throw on her ground, and we dont litter.
We love the creatures on it, and most definatly WE DONT SACRIFICE ANYTHING, like ive been asked 34634636 times.
We pay respect to the sun and the moon and notice their changings and celebrate it.
Just becuase we dont believe in your god, or believe christ is our savior dont make us evil.
We have more respect for animals, plants, the earth, and PEOPLE than most you Christians do
And do research on a religion before you bash it.
We are spiritual, we are ethical, and healers.
RESEARCH our so called "evil" religion.
ya theres bad eggs in the wiccan faith but us good ones cant help that.

I don't understand your question... perhaps you should do some research on what wicca is and stay away from the Harry Potter novels.
