This is question one in a two question miniseries. Although you can answer the second without answering the first and vice versa, it is hoped that you answer both for the full effect.

1. Wiccans: What types of "spells" do you "cast"?

I am not a Wiccan (but I am a pagan) and I would like to answer your question on spell casting anyway. I hope you don't mind.

My spells involve healing for myself. Mostly minor things like colds, toothaches or headaches. Once I did a spell to get rid of the chronic and horrible pain of rheumatoid arthritis. That was six years ago. After I did the spell I was able to stop taking daily meds and the pain still gone. For me there isn't much difference between spell casting and prayer and the only difference is that the positive results of prayer are usually called "miracles" while the positive results of spell casting are refered to as "magic".

I have been pagan for many, many years and I have casted many spells over the years. I only do cast them on myself because when you do it to someone else, there are a lot of things that can go wrong, and sometimes you dont know if someone really wants you to do it, or they are just saying they do. But most of the spells I do are self empowerment, antidepression/stress, protection, and some money ones. I have done a lot for good luck and clear mind during school. I use lots of visualization and stones to work magic, but the things I do are very simple but useful.

I'm not a Wiccan, but, I do cast spells.

I cast spells for self-empowerment, for protection, for healing, to find things I've lost, etc.

I'm rather new to the Craft, and so far I've only casted a spell once, and that was to wish my teacher who'd suffered an injury speedy recovery and health.
