I love jerky & was thinking about buying one off Ebay but it looks like a piece of crap . .. just curious.. Thanks!

Look for an AMERICAN HARVEST unit like I have! A lot of accesories, good price and warranty and comes with some great recipes. You have to pay for all those RONCO commercials by buying their products that are sub-standard.

Don't but that junk! check out this link! Tells you how to make your own with a window fan and new furnace filters! It works great with no heat which is what usually ruins food dehydrator jerky. The recipe he has is good too not salty like most!

If you want to make beef jerky, I suggest cutting your meat in several strips..add some soy sauce. And let the dehydrator do its job..let it set for about 2 or 3 days..enjoy.

I used to have one and then it broke. While it was working it did make great beef jerky.
