Define your anxiety--what makes you anxious? When you define a problem, you are on the road to solving it.
If it's a particular aspect of your life, like money, you have to either figure out how to solve the problem, or take a deep breath and realize that you have to live with the way things are.
If it's free-floating anxiety, you might consider meditation. There are several good books on the subject; one in particular is called "How to Meditate" and has a tree on the cover. This can help you deal with the anxiety and maybe handle things more calmly.

Geez...Well...in the first place..I'd suggest NOT using drugs or alchohol to mask the symtoms. I guess the other thing I'd say is that you're sure not alone..and I'm not minimizing how badly you feel...You know...nobody can answer this question for you...YOU need to decide what things help you cope with anxiety...It's YOU..not me who knows. I wish you well. Oh..now this is just me..a couple of things I do when I'm anxious is to get outsidel..don't self isolate. One day...I was at the grocery store and I decided to smile at lots of people..They ALL smiled back..I felt much better. You're just going to decide what makes you feel less anxious and do more of it. That's about it.

Anxiety is not pleasant whether it is mild or extreme. But it will pass in time. Keep yourself occupied with things you like to do, eat well, get plenty of rest, stay off caffeine and pray every day for about 15 minutes. You will feel much better.

anxiety is what happens when you dont stop and take stock of your life regularly. take a few minutes each day to sit and think of what you are wanting to accomplish today, how you will accomplish this and what is worse thing that will happen if you dont. meditation is the most relaxing drug free way of reducing anxiety that i know of. think of a wonderful time in your life, focus on how you felt at that particular moment and how you can achieve this feeling again. clear your mind of clutter, visualize shutting a door when anxious thoughts appear, and when you reopen the door visualize whatever relaxes you most.

I've had anxiety for years. Finally I decided to go see a therapist. She recommend that I go see a Dr. to get on medicine. That is what I did, and I'm glad I did it. I feel so much better.
