I know I love this man, and we are friends with benefits at the moment, but I want more. I can tell he loves me, but has major commitment issues.

Why should he give you his love if he is already getting the benefits? When you are in a friends with benefits relationship it is supposed to be because neither side is interested in love or a relationship. If your looking for love then you should not be in this type of relationship with this person.

Chances are the answer is "no." And in all honesty why would you want to get yourself involved with a person who has major commitment issues? That type of person will string you along for years, with charm or vague promises that something will improve in the future. But in the end chances are you will get hurt, and you will not get either love or commitment. By the way how can you "tell" that he loves you?
