Is 61, says that the annointing of the Lord is to heal the sick, open the eyes of the blind, to give liberty to the oppressed and to heal the brokenhearted. Does He want to do this in the inner city - outside of the church?

God will do it anywhere anytime if people will allow Him to and it has to be in His will also.

Well God works through you just like He did with Jesus, Moses, Isiah and a host of other figures in the bible. You will make His power known, and the church is not a building ,,,it is YOU... you must display the power of God by 1st seeking Him with all you have , being obedient, humble and let Him exalt you and work through you. This is not some mystery or magic, voodoo or any witchcraft , this scripture is really about BELIEVERS.... Let His power work thru u so that u can see the blinded eyes open, the lame walking, the dead rising, the wicked perish and ur enemies ur footstool...

That is in the old testament . We are living under the new covenant .All thing's are passed away , all things become new . He has already shown His power in the past and will show it to the world in the future for it's shortcomings . James 5:9 God bless you and your family
